It seems were all chomping on the bit to draft.

KDS in two weeks for the first weekend of drafts!

It just sounds good to say that, that and next monday when going back to work, it'll be March and the first day of spring training...finally

Over the last three years, John Lannan has a better ERA than Justin Verlander

Recently signed Livan Hernandez has thrown more innings during the last three years than Jered Weaver

Jeff Suppan has thrown 545 innings during the last three years, his batting average against is over .300

Paul LoDuca, Jim Edmonds,Jay Payton Mark Grudzielanek, and Jacque Jones have jobs

Carlos Delgado, Felipe Lopez, and Jermaine Dye don't.

John Garland has won more games than John Lackey the last two years

John Lackey has a 5.75 ERA at Fenway Park

The Philadelphia Phillies are the oldest franchise in baseball. Despite this, they have never had the best record in baseball.

The Chicago Cubs have had the best record in baseball six times

The Dodgers don't have any money to sign players.

Tell me again, why did they re-up with Manny's 20 million dollar contract?

Sorry, that was junk.

Am I the only one that wants Brad HAWPE and SKIP Schumaker to play on the same team?

Despite missing most of the last three years, Rickey Weeks ranked 10th during that time with 39 home runs by a second baseman

Live on the west coast?

Here is your choice of starting shortstops to see this year-

Everth Cabrera, Eric Aybar, Cliff Pennington, Rafael Furcal, Juan Uribe, and Jack Wilson

It is hard to find somebody stomping the crap out of Albert Pujols in any category...

Ryan Howard has 69 more rbi than Pujols over the last three years

Russell Martin has more stolen bases than both Ryan Braun and Rafael Furcal over the last three years

Then again, Willie Bloomquist has stolen more bases than Furcal during that time

Braden Looper, currently out of a job, has won more games than Greinke or James Shields over the last three years

A little junk,

Top 10 most watched players in spring training by fantasy players?

Jose Reyes

Grady Sizemore

Francisco Liriano

Chris Davis

Andrew McCutchen

BJ Upton

Ben Sheets

David Freese

Jason Heyward

Stephen Strasburg

There has been much press ado about Derek Jeter being in the last year of his 10 year contract.

By the way, has there ever been a long contract that has worked out well for both parties as this one has?

Anyway, he is part of an answer to a trivia question that I'll leave with...

Without looking it up on-line...

12 active players have played only for one team AND have done it for at least 10 years, who are they?

I'll give the answers when somebody gets close or verify that somebody has them all right.

I'll give the answers when somebody gets close or verify that somebody has them all right. I have at least 10, and possibly 11 depending upon interpretation.

Lance Berkman

Mark Buehrle

Todd Helton

Derek Jeter

Chipper Jones

Jorge Posada

Mariano Rivera

Jimmy Rollins

Jason Varitek

Vernon Wells

Roy Halladay (He has not yet played for the Phillies.)

Halladay lost eligibility with the trade.

You have 10 correct, the other two are in the A.L.

I'll take a shot:

First three I thought of are the Yankees

Mariano, Jeter and Posada

some more

Chipper Jones - ATL 16 seasons

Jason Varitek - Boston - 13 seasons

Todd Helton - Colorado- 13 seasons

Michael Young - Texas 10 years

Mark Buehrle - White Sox - 10 seasons

Eric Chavez - Oak - 12 years

Rick Ankiel has been with the Cards since 1999 - but only played 7 seasons in the majors in that time.

Pujols is only 9 years

Brandon inge 9 season in Detroit

I have to figure out the last two - but are the rest correct???

I overlooked Michael Young. I figured the other was either a forgetable left-handed reliever or someone like Eric Chavez who has virtually fallen off of the radar screen. Great question!

BTW - Ichiro Suzuki is another player that will reach 10 years with one team in 2010. Hard to believe he's been over here for a decade.

The Philadelphia Phillies are the oldest franchise in baseball.

I thought the Reds were the oldest franchise?

I thought the Reds were the oldest franchise? [/QUOTE]The Reds were established in 1882, the Phillies in 1883.

The Reds have had other names in their team history, the Phillies have always been, the Phillies.

Even the Cubs name has changed from the White Stockings to the Colts and to the Orphans.

Orphans seem more appropriate these days.

SI wrote an article about the Phillies being the first to 10,000 (losses that is, what an accomplishment!)

City- Cincinnati

Name- Phillies

The Phillies did reach 10,000 losses. Even though the Reds have been around longer, the Cubs, I've heard, are next in line....to nobody's surprise
