Status of Online Leagues

With my first draft only two weeks away I would like to get into the draft room and start creating draft lists, etc. in the few few days. I am assuming we can't really do this until our league is full and we are assigned to it. About how many days before our drafts do leagues usually fill up?

Should say "in the next few days."

All of the NFBC Satellite Leagues and Online Double Plays will be run on our new draft software starting next week at the latest. We will have details on how you can upload your own lists to the draft software. There will be a default system there that has been created by Geoff using our ADP information and the players will be ranked that way to start off. There is another tab next to the player lists for MY rankings. Click on that link and all players will be sorted by your rankings.

So get your lists together on Excel and Geoff will tell you how to upload your lists to the draft software shortly. Easy as that. You can plan your lists now and upload them at any time...even during the draft.

Satellite leagues sometimes fill well in advance and some fill 3-4 days in advance. If any sat doesn't look like it's going to fill, tom is in contact with those owners well in advance and doing all he can to get them into a full satellite league at the same price. Stay in contact with Tom on all of that and keep looking at the signup lists. We have those in the Signup Forum and I think anyone can see which ones should fill and which ones are struggling now. Move appropriately and work with Tom.

I hope this helps.

Greg - I'm pretty sure that Geoff has now posted twice that this feature will not be available due to the complexity of matching players from our Excel lists to the database of players. It sounded like we'll need to manually 'drag and drop' players into the order we want for our rankings, which means that even if everything works perfectly it's going to be pretty time consuming, and people are justified in asking for some lead time to get everything set up properly.

[/QUOTE]I will check on this. I did not hear that. Originally I was told this would be allowed. I apologize if I'm wrong, but let me check for sure and post here. I certainly understand your concerns then.

There will be an option to set your own rankings, but it won't include uploading an Excel spreadsheet to the software.

What we do have, however, is very good. After the initial setup, your rankings will be saved and you can edit them at any time.
