NFBC Mock Draft Software Is Now Live!!

Post by Greg Ambrosius » Thu Mar 04, 2010 12:12 pm

Okay, you can now use our new mock draft software!!! We know it took a little longer than expected, but that damn Seth Trachtman kept trying to bust the system during testing and he found bugs under the carpet when we didn't think there were any!! :D We've swept them out and we're ready to rock 'n roll.

Here's how to use this:

Once you're logged in, go to the HOME link in the green navigational bar above. Just pull down to Mock Draft Lobby and you'll be brought to a new page.

Just click on the Join Mock Draft link or Create Mock Draft link and have fun.

Geoff Stein can tell you all about the features shortly. He's the master at this. Now have fun and please let us know what you think of the draft software. We are interested in all comments, good, bad and helpful. Thanks all.

Alrighty, folks -- it's finally here!

Lets use this topic for any questions or comments that you may have. I'm going to be here all night, so get in, do some mocks, set your rankings and talk to me.

I can be reached at: [email protected], as well.

Just a note: Everything in the software is based on Central time.

A couple of questions on draft site.

1. Is there a way to sign up for a draft without having site list your name?

2. Once you sign up can you remove your team?

Don't believe there's a way to remove a team. I will present that to the tech guys, as well.

Looks great. Blows the doors off of MDC.

One suggestion though - For money leagues can you remove the advertisement for magazines? The page is already quite busy. It really makes the queue very small. The queue is one of the most important pieces of this software. It would be nice if it was larger. For the free mocks keep advertising but for the pay leagues I think this would help. Thanks

Is there a click and move option for ranking players, instead of saving at almost every step?

Geoff, at MDC, you were able to exit out of a mock draft if you wished. Is that feature available? thx

Is there any way to set a preferred draft slot?

I can't click and drag, Geoff. And have to hit 'save changes' a lot.

Also, you don't have to save after every move. You can make all of the moves you want and then save. It's like typing up a Word document -- you don't have to save, but it's probably best to do it every now and then.
