Ozzie Guillen rules. :-)
I like Ozzie. headhunters turned me on to just how refreshing he is.
But, one statement is wrong. He says that latins will take over the game in 10 years. So wrong.
The same thing was said when blacks were allowed in the game, it never happened.
On another subject, according to MLB, Ozzie is having a difference of opinion with GM Ken Williams in how to use the DH. Williams prefers the traditional dh, the old sloth. Ozzie wants it to be a position player that he can give a partial rest everyday.
I applaud Ozzie. Dh's have become Cavemen and dull. A position that signals the end of a career. Kudo's to Ozzie for trying to use the dh role for strategic purposes, instead of rolling some old, balding, overweight (hey wait, I can be a dh!) guy off the bench, the position can be a semi-rest for Pierzynski or Konerko, etc.
With Thome going to Minnesota, I expect Mauer to not be involved in 2-3 more games and maybe more depending on Gardenhire's whims. A little thing but still a lttle significant as well.

ozzie has been on this soap box for a long time. i just hope he realizes that when that world chapionship was won- the guys on the field were NOT latin ball players that hit .250 took 5 walks a year, bunted and "played the game the right way". they were mostly slow white guys and even a slow black guy in dye. the key hit was a homer by the fast white guy in pods. torre hunter spoke the truth- he just said the wrong word. he meant no harm.. i bet there isn't one ball player that was offended. just a bunch of liberals and african americans like jesse jackson who have made a fortune being the p.c. police.

Agreed...latin born may have increased...but take over...nope.
