Plans For March 28th Super Leagues

Post by Greg Ambrosius » Thu Mar 11, 2010 12:12 pm

Okay, we are going to forego plans for an Ultimate Draft League this year on Sunday, March 28th as we just couldn't find a suitable time for everyone. I'm disappointed that we couldn't pull it off, but we did fill up an NFBC Diamond League and we already have three Super Leagues.

That being said, there appears to be more interest in another Super League on Sunday, March 28th and I'll put this out there now before we draw any draft spots for that weekend. Let's get a first list together and see if we can pull this off.

Okay, here are 15 owners who are locked in for the Super League if we just finish with one, and it is at 1 pm ET/10 am PT. We'll hook folks up if we have to via online and teleconference:

NFBC SUPER LEAGUE

Sunday, March 28, 1 pm ET, Noon CT, 10 am PT

1. Anson Chan, Fort Lee, New Jersey (NY)

2. Matthew Ross, Wakefield, Rhode Island (NY)

3. Henry Tang, San Francisco, California (LV)

4. Leonard Ringle, New York City (NY)

5. Rusty Clark, Centerville, Ohio (CHI)

6. Max Nisson, Henderson, Nevada (LV)

7. John Crane, College Place, Washington (LV)

8. Brent Grooms, Tallahassee, Florida (LV)

9. Ken Magner/Jim Christie, Freehold, New Jersey (LV)

10. Shawn Johnson Myrtle Beach, South Carolina (P)

11. George Kleemann, Palatine, Illinois (P)

12. David Deterra, Jamestown, Rhode Island (NY)

13. Gino Yu, Torrance, California (LV)

14. Craig Kielinski, Exton, Pennsylvania (P)

15. Joe Berg, Fullerton, California (LV)

16. Brian Ng, San Jose, California (P)

John Crane is going to be nice enough to grab that open spot in the $1300 AL Auction League and move into two Sunday Live Double Plays, which helps us in a couple of ways. So Brian Ng would grab this last spot.

Now, can we do another Super League at the same time and even mingle in these cities better? I think we can and I'll give it a week to try. Here's who said they would do another league if it was available at sometime on Sunday:

1. David McDonald, Bay Village, Ohio (LV)

2. Joe Berg, Fullerton, California (LV)

3. Donn Johnson (only Sun night)

4. Alan Salem

5. Philip McDonald

6. Robert Particelli

7. Avi Weisfogel

8. Josh Blumenreich (wanted Ultimate Sun AM)

I know Shawn Johnson would get in another Super. There are a few others who have contacted me. So maybe this would work. Please post here if you'd like to do a Super on the 28th and what time works best for you. Maybe we can patch in one more. Thanks all.

Greg:

I may have some interest in an additional Super League on Sunday, provided the time frame works later in the day. ( After the initial Super ) However, if you get this off the ground it may come at the expense of some of my Double Plays. ( Can't play them all )

Saturday night would be in play as well, should it come DOWN to whether you can garner enough interest so please keep me in the fold. Would need to have a handle on this prior to draft position selection in the Double Plays.

Glenn I'll do whatever the masses ask for. If we get one on Sunday morning and one on Sunday night, that would be great. Maybe we could mix and match with the names on the list now. I know there are a few others who want to do this, too, so we're not that far off. Let's see how far this goes.

I'll add him now. Sack is interested in Sunday night, so again, we're getting closer if we can mix and match. I'll just update the interested participants because I think we're getting closer.

Super League 2???

1. David McDonald, Bay Village, Ohio (LV)

3. Donn Johnson (only Sun night)

4. Alan Salem

5. Philip McDonald

6. Robert Particelli

9. Sack (only Sun night)

10. Shawn Johnson (Sun night)

11. Josh Blumenreich (wanted Ultimate Sun AM)

It might be tough, but we have a good week or so to see how it plays out and the participants are coming in. I need to call Ed about this as he inquired as well. My bad Ed for not calling you this week.

If you're on this list and want to get off this, let me know. Some were listed when we had the Ultimate listing. Thanks all and we'll just keep talking before finalizing both leagues. Thanks.

Sorry, I have already made other plans for the 28th, please move on without me for this.. Also, I guess email issues were the problem we were having, never got the initial replies from earlier emails.. My apoligies to you and Tom for my little rant.Email issues make more sense than what I referred too. :D

Greg,

If it helps or is possible, I wouldn't mind switching from the 1:00pm draft on March 28th to the night draft 7:00pm on March 28th.

I am doing the March 27th super and was hoping to sleep in a bit the next day

However, if the evening Super for the 28th is not a done deal, keep me in afternoon league that is filled.

thanks.

Additionally,

For both drafts my Dad and I will not be able to make it to NYC so we will have to draft online like last year.

Are we using MDS or fanball software for drafting online?

thanks.

Thanks Geoff. I don't follow these boards very closely but I was wondering how is the software working? Are most if not all of the bugs worked out? I will be drafting my super league teams and would not want any surprises given the $2500 entry fee

Can we create and save lists now without any problems?

Please advise.

many thanks.

Plans For March 28th Super Leagues

Post by Greg Ambrosius » Tue Mar 16, 2010 5:07 am

Okay, reality is hitting us that we won't be able to fill this fourth Super League, the one we tried to get filled on Sunday, March 28th. We just have too many folks who can't do it in the morning or can't do it in the afternoon and it's time to move on. We need to finalize the one Super League we have on Sunday morning/afternoon and move on so that folks can spend their money elsewhere, hopefully in the NFBC.

These 10 owners had suggested that they might be interested in a Super League on Sunday, March 28th. I apologize to all for not being able to fill this, but let's see if we can get other options out there for you. For those in Las Vegas, we do have the 10 am Auction Championship League. I'll push that one now.

Sorry all, but this was going to be tough and we gave it a good run.

Super League 2???

1. David McDonald, Bay Village, Ohio (LV)

2. Donn Johnson (only Sun night)

3. Alan Salem

4. Philip McDonald

5. Robert Particelli

6. Avi Weisfogel

7. Jason Santucci

8. Sack (only Sun night)

9. Shawn Johnson (Sun night)

10. Josh Blumenreich (wanted Ultimate Sun AM)

I'll contact all now to notify them of our plans. Again, sorry.
