NOTE: All 30-round Satellites/Online Double Plays to be held on Fanball software

Post by Geoffrey Stein » Tue Mar 16, 2010 4:11 am

Hey guys,

I'm still getting a lot of e-mails about this -- every online draft hosted by the NFBC will be held on the Fanball software from this point forward.

You can access your draft on the league’s homepage located at:

http://nfbc.fanball.com/my/my_teams.php.

If you need help retrieving your username and password, please fill

out the form located at: http://www.fanball.com/forgot_password.php.

Our first round of drafts on the new software is tonight, so I want to make sure we're all on the same page come 7 pm Eastern. If you have any questions, please let me know.

Not trying to give you a hard time Geoff, but this stinks. WAY too late to change. It would be fine for next year.

This also allows us to upload the results into the commissioner product much easier -- something that will be huge, especially during the final week when we're hosting seven or eight drafts a night.

We're doing our best to make the transition as seamless as possible. Anyone with concerns or problems, can contact me and I will take care of them.

Thanks much.

Geoff sorry again, don't mean to be dumping on you personally. As usual this year didn't get magazines. Same as last year. Don't get adp's until I call and ask for them. Same as last year. (multiple times cause you have too for each one that comes out, things don't get fixed) Now despite my concerns the drafts are being moved anyway. (Posted concerns, tried to send pm's to Greg, but inbox is always full and sometimes he doesn't read what I send him anyway (left unread))I am fine with switching for next year. I would be fine with switching for this year too. I'm not against change. I'm sure you have multiple reasons for switching. However for me, it needed to be done no later than early Jan if it was for this year. The site had to up and running and good to go by then at the latest. Now I will be at a competitive disadvantage no matter what. You can say all have to make the same adjustment, but I won't be able to adjust as easily as others. Now after doing 1 sat on mdc I have 8 days to minimize the damage as best as possible. And that's what it will amount too. Can I make it work sure. Won't be the same. Either next year or much earlier. If that couldn't be accomplished the change had to wait. Regardless of the benifits. Signed disgruntled possibly former customer.

We're one satellite and one Online Double Play draft in, and I can say that the transition has been smoother than I could've ever imagined!

Thank you so much to the 57 drafters tonight who made this a success. You made my life a heck of a lot easier.

Thanks also goes out to the Fanball tech team who put this together. It was rough around the edges when we first released it as mock software, but it is now the best drafting software in the industry if I do say so myself.

Stay tuned, folks -- this is only the beginning of great things from the NFBC and Fanball!

That said, we really have to do something about that clock location. Please lower it into the body of the webpage somewhere.

Thanks,

Glenn

I was in the 7PM EST draft last night and I can tell you guys that are worried you dont have to be. It was as easy as could be. I have done a ton of online drafts in the past and this is by far the best site for drafting I have ever done.

I'm in the Mar 23rd satellite and was wondering when I can access the draft room to set up my draft list.
