UPGRADES

Johan Santana threw four scoreless innings and struck out four in a no-decision versus the Marlins on Sunday.



Nelson Cruz was 3-for-3 with two homers, three RBI and three runs scored in an 8-1 win over the Mariners on Wednesday night.



Jake Peavy limited the Dodgers to one run in five innings and struck out six in a victory Wednesday.



Yovani Gallardo picked up a win Monday by limiting the Indians to a run and a hit over four innings. Gallardo fanned five and walked none. WALKED NONE!!!



Wandy Rodriguez fanned seven while allowing two runs in four innings Wednesday in a win over the Nationals.



John Lackey is up to nine scoreless innings this spring after retiring 12 Mets on Wednesday.



Aroldis Chapman fanned five while allowing one run in three innings Wednesday versus the Brewers. Chapman has a 10/2 K/BB ratio and a 1.29 ERA through seven innings this spring.



Travis Snider went 2-for-3 with an opposite-field homer Wednesday versus the Orioles.



Andruw Jones went 2-for-3 with a three-run homer, four RBI and a walk Wednesday against the Dodgers.





DOWNGRADES

Gordon Beckham acknowledged Wednesday that he has been dealing with some shoulder pain, but said it has mostly subsided.



Brian Roberts is waiting to determine out whether recent treatment will have a positive affect on his back.



Andrew Bailey will not throw for 5-7 days due to lateral epicondylitis.



Nate McLouth went 0-for-3 on Wednesday, leaving him hitless in his last seven games. McLouth is 1-for-28 with 10 strikeouts.



Nationals released OF Elijah Dukes.
