now that he may be ready to go for the season opener, how high does he move up on draft boards? where was his ADP for the first weekend events? and how much should we boost the other Mets affected by this news?

probably pushes down one of the SP's that flew off the board in AC apparently.

Really depends how much chance there is of this being a recurring problem.

Not sure... Where do you draft an injury prone SS that will be instructed not to use his speed, that can hit .270, and plays in a park that David Wright proved can be so "wrong" for hitters? Probably before Beltran.

BTW, he won't be anywhere near ready to start the season. He will be lucky if he only misses April.

I hope Top Dawg and The Franchise aren't in the same league...because it sounds like both are planning to take Reyes in the 2nd round.

Hillarious! People trying to talk down his value. He is easily a 2nd round pick now. He will be playing the opening week.
If you had the b*lls to pop him the 1st weekend you got a bargain. This weekend... no such luck.

does this mean everybody will panic and there's going to be a SS run?
now "that" would be "utterly rediculous"

I just don't get these reporter types and their drama-queen **** shoveling...
Here's today's garbage...
"Jose Reyes (thyroid) still hasn't been cleared for physical activity.
Reyes is simply hanging out on his couch in Port St. Lucie, Florida. He is three weeks into the two-to-eight week timetable given by doctors and hasn't even begun jogging. It's safe to say he won't be ready by the end of April, and we're doubting he returns in early May."
"Jose Reyes (thyroid) has been cleared to return to Mets camp.
The Mets' medical team tested his thyroid levels Tuesday morning and they were apparently back to normal. Reyes has to get back in shape after sitting idly the last three months, but the fact that he's making progress is excellent. Perhaps he'll actually be back in early May. Mar. 23 - 12:10 pm et"
Charlie Manuel has already stated he'd lean toward batting Jose leadoff, and the original diagnosis was 2-8 weeks. He made it back on the early side of two weeks, and if he's good enough to play in Spring...they will roll him right out there for Opening Day.
Sick of the fabricated drama.

I love the "accidental" 3 MONTHS rather than 2 weeks and couple days.
I proofread my posts more than they do their jobs. (and that's not sayin much!)

I'm going to have to bump Rollins down a few spots on my rankings, looks like he's got competition! Thanks for the heads up Lance

I don't follow Jose Reyes around all week to see what he eats, but I know of many elite atheletes who munch down garbage McDonalds and fast food.
Imagine if this new revelation of thyroid function brings a new healthy diet into his life and as a by product of a smarter, healthier diet, he posts career year numbers!??!!!
Jose Reyes
.300
20 HR
125 runs
80 RBI
70 SB
You've been warned!!!

I just want to know where he was getting drafted last weekend. I'm sure there are plenty of owners out there that regret not taking a gamble.

Just imagine if he slips to the "big dog" (successful) drafters late 2nd, or even later!
Don't let him slip to the enemy!
Pujols/Reyes combo!!!
Hanley/Reyes!!!
Game, set, match!

You would have to be nuts to expect more than 130 games from Reyes.

if he plays before saturday he is gonna go from a 4th rounder to mid 2nd if not on the turn....wow...with ss being so weak you have to consider him...a bit of a risk but huge reward. i can see a ton of teams with a cabrera/reyes combo...an awesome start!!

Reyes was going 3rd or 4th round this past weekend. There are already some very "stakced" teams in the NFBC!!

Looks like the last 4 posters all agree on Reyes, but might have some slightly different agendas... The boards crack me up this time of year.
