I dont travel often... but for some of you who do. What's the best way to go about getting the cheapest airfare?

Is it cheaper to wait until 21 days before departure? Or should I buy now to get the best rate?

I've looked on Expedia, Orbitz, Travelocity, Cheaptickets DOT COM and they all have the same prices.

Any other sites offer better rates? Besides hotwire and priceline where you can't see times.. I need to see what TIME i'm leaving/returning.

Minneapolis to Chicago... OR maybe Vegas if it's cheaper and Greg will let me switch venues

I could just drive the 7 hours there and back.. but I hate driving.

JAR: Orbitz has always been my starting point to get a, pardon the pun, ballpark figure. Then, I'd suggest going directly to the airlines website and first signing up for there rewards/miles program and purchase directly from them. You'll save a few bucks and will be surprised how the miles add up for a free flight. The way NFBC-NFFC has taken off, saving on a flight is a big bonus.
