Free Agent Additions Being Worked On NOW

Post by Greg Ambrosius » Thu Apr 01, 2010 5:13 am

Let's get things back on a positive roll and show you the things we are working on now so that we can avoid so many separate threads. We just got off the conference call and the guys are doing a great job of updating the FAAB system thanks to your suggestions. Many of these were already in the works and would have been unveiled anyway, but putting priorities to these has helped.

Here's what we have coming soon:

** The Search button for the free agent lists is in the works and will be done soon.

** % Owned will be displayed shortly.

** % Started will be displayed shortly.

** All 5x5 categories will be visible shortly.

** We are adding more categories like ABs and IP, but we don't want to overload the listing of categories. Look for a few more soon and then we can discuss if we're missing anything after that.

** The free agent bug that reloads pages is being looked at here too. This one needs some troubleshooting now.

** Insurance blocker is done. If you don't see it and you feel you paid for a Classic, Super, Ultimate or Diamond League by check or with a free entry, then contact Tom at [email protected]. We'll get the insurance roadblock added to your team page and you can pick one player for insurance.

** The free agent player pool is getting cleaned out now. We know we have players in there that shouldn't be, but we can clean that easily.

Dont forget:

1) When you pull up a player to have the info of when he was drafted, when he was picked up, what team he is on currently and his stats by period by game.

2) a message board on the main league home page to talk/post with players in your league (adds excitement), standings on the league home.

3) get rid of all the stuff we dont need on the league home page. We all paid money to join and dont need all this advertising on the main page, the old STATS page was perfect in design and was less cluttered.

thanks!

Greg, not having all the players on one page is not working.

It takes several minutes now to page through all the players, whereas before it took a few extra seconds to load the entire list.

thanks! The league message board will be added soon.

I believe there are no ads on your league page and the same content that STATS had is on your team page. Good luck.

Okay, Tom went through the free agent listings to look for retired players or duplicates that are in our system and we only came up with a few. Some folks made it sound like it was loaded with retired players. If you find any additional duplicates, please email them to Tom at [email protected].

We'll clean these out today:

HITTERS

Jeff Kent

Javier Brito (duplicate)

30 place holders listed among the hitters.

Bernie Williams

PITCHERS

Curt Schilling

Jordan Walden (duplicate)

in the classic version, is it possible on the team page for the bench players to be seperated into hitters then pitchers?? also, on the lineup page how does one move the rp to the bottom of the active page...within the list of pitchers they are mixed...any suggestions??? or can this be rectified. thanks not a big deal but it does help when scanning your team.

Jermaine Dye is no different. As I stated in another thread, all players are eligible for bidding this week in FAAB. Good luck.

Thanks! Please, please, email [email protected]. He will get the list to Fanball and we'll update a group once we've verified payment. Thanks.

Aaaaaaah. Seems like THIS is the thread to use for FAAB issues. After saving a list I am unable to add or modify conditional picks without deleting the entire pick and starting over. VERY frustrating. Especially so close to submission of picks. Time is an issue for us as well here.

Scott Martin Scott, we're working on this one. We have two issues to work out on the Conditional Bids and they are being worked on now. Thanks for the heads up, but we're on it already.

John said that he did talk with you about this in Las Vegas. He emailed me now and said: "we will correct the batter/pitcher groupings as he suggested. We always do that with our other

games, so we'll get that set up here."

As for the next question: "As for the RP/SP of the active roster, I'll have to see if there is a way for us to determine the difference between their status. I suspect they are just listed as P for pitcher. If there is an easy way to distinguish their true position, we will certainly do it. If we are running short on time, it may be something we address after the beginning of the season."

As you can tell RT, John is the perfect contact for us on these type of questions. And we get responses right away. Hey, it might not all be there by Week 1, but most will be and we'll upgrade the rest going forward. Sound good?

I'm unable to add players to a watch list like in years past. Am I missing something or will that be coming?

[/QUOTE]no worries, i did discuss this john in vegas, though i didnt remember what he said(must have been in a drafting fog). it was just a suggestion. thru 6 years of leagues it makes it alot easier to scan your team if the lineups are set that way....thanks n we are making headway!!
