Rule 11. Lineup Submission

11. Lineup Submission

"Team owners also are allowed to remove a pitcher (or pitchers) who is officially on the DL from their starting lineup and replace him with a pitcher from their reserve roster on Fridays by 5 minutes before the scheduled start time of the first game of the day. Pitchers must officially be on Major League Baseball's DL list according to Fanball and the NFBC by 12:01 AM ET on Friday for this move (or moves) to take effect for the weekend games.

NEW for 2010! NFBC team owners are allowed to switch out any hitter (or hitters) from their starting lineup and replace him with a hitter from their reserve roster on Fridays by 5 minutes before the scheduled start time of the first game of the day as long as position eligibility for their team remains legal."

First: Will the DL be processed right away? Joe Blanton was put on DL this morning for example, yet he is not on DL in my roster. If today had been a Friday, I would have not been able to replace him.

Second: Can we replace more than one DL-bound pitcher? The rule says ...allowed to remove a pitcher (or pitchers)...

Third: can you confirm that there are NO LIMITATIONS on the numbers of HITTERS we can replace on Friday and as long as the lineup remains eligible and those hitters don't have to be on DL? I think this is a major change from past years.

Thanks

Thanks 1. The DL is a designation that comes directly from MLB. Once they tag the player, we'll have it on our site, no different than when STATS did it. Remember, just because you read somewhere that the player is going on the DL it doesn't become official with us until the MLB team files it with the MLB and then is sent to STATS. So yes, in that case, there is no way Blanton would have made the DL designation if today was a Friday. He didn't go on the DL before midnight. Simple enough.

2. Yes.

3. Confirmed. Move seven of them if you want.
