Due to the FAAB mess, the only reasonable solution once the FAABs's are fixed is to permit the backdating of stats for today's games with lineups set by p.m. tonight (assuming FAAB is fixed by then).
I do not love this option, but it is the least lousy of other alternatives.
I think that this was done in the past when early games were played to start the MLB season in Japan before the NFBC draft.

spot on. This is the only, albeit less than ideal, solution.

heres my question. if players are able to field a lineup after they watch todays games can i now bench cc sabathia after watching him last night?
i don't know what the best solution is but this seems to favor anyone who didn't have any players last night. to be able to put your team in after watching the games might be the only way to go but it has to be the same for everyone.

Sorry, but I don't think yesterdays games are even in the same ballpark as the issues for this weeks games. You had an opportunity to set your lineup and you chose to start CC, you are stuck with his stats now.

That is circumstantial. There were no issues setting the week 0 lineups. Period. Why don't we draft again for those who hate their drafts?

your missing the point though. if you have king felix on your team. and he gets lit up for 8 runs in 2 innings are you going to start him. obviously not. you get the advantage of watching more of your players before you submit them, i don't.
they have enough problems and idiots on here that i'm not gonna rock the boat too much on this. just a point that no one brought up.
who knows, maybe they will have it fixed by opening pitch. then it will be a moot point anyways.

The backdating of stats seems to be OK for hitters, but is a problem for SP. As an alternative, how about allowing full lineup moves (but only prospectively) on Tuesday, for this week only.

this is a terrible idea and will just open a can of worms...
I know if i lose to a guy that was able to sit at home or check the stats while at work..and then DECIDE who he wants to submit to his lineup....well thats just utter BS...

You cannot shut out all the pitchers going today. Most of these starters are the aces of the staff. All these stats need to count or the integrity of NFBC is completely out the window.

I'm not suggesting that we shut out todays stats. Just treat it like we did Sundays game. Set you lineup now; todays games count; set you lineup for the week tommorrow.

The problem with these supposed "solutions" is that we have no idea what the crack technological staff is capable of implimenting. We have no ideal in large part because we are in a leadership vaccum at the moment, the powers that be are not communicating. Based on the fact they are not communicating, I am guessing there might not be a simple fix.
