If you use the f word on our boards one more time this non-internet savvy owner is going to learn how to kick you off the boards. We just added you today and you've shown your true colors already. One more and you're off. Enjoy your satellite league but grow up or leave. Easy enough.

You can take your f word somewhere else, right now if you'd like. Just type it in again and we'll take care of your access.

i've seen the f-word used quite a bit today. So greg, it's OK when you like the NFBC-friendly person using it? Otherwise, you play tough guy? Weak.

I will never give Fanball.com any of my money ever again!!! I will run my own leagues on Yahoo, ESPN, and CBSsportsline before I ever deal with the tools from fanball again. sounds like fun running your own league... good luck against the mailman and paperboy... stiff competition im sure

But yeah, I'll come down on anyone who uses it. Call me weak.

I know folks think this is a free-for-all and they can say anything about anyone. But let's at least grow up a little. I understand the frustration. I let the playground go. But grow up everyone on at least typing in strong words that don't start with f.

As a long time CDM player, I had my reservations when Fanball purchased that game a few years ago, but my experience with FanBall has been nothing but positive.

I'm guessing in hindsight, insider folks might be second guessing the decision to take on such a complex programming project in such a limited amount of time, but the I believe the decision to build and house the software will ultimately be of long-term benefit to the players.

I thought the drafting software that was built was by far the best I had ever used. I expect the FAAB system will be the same shortly.

Kudos to Greg, Tom and everyone involved for trying their best to "make this right". This day will be a distant memory not too long from now.

I tried for a good minute, maybe 1.5 minutes to care about what was said here.

I failed.

I'm new to the NFBC this year but not new to fanball. It doesn't surprise me at all that there are problems with them, Ive been using them for football for years unfortunately (not my choice). It really sucks to see people bashing Greg & Tom but this isn't their fault. I don't know who runs things over in the IT dept at fanball, but whoever it is needs a new job. The site can't even be used in the same sentence as yahoo or cbs sportsline. The folks at fanball need to sign up for a league over there to see how it's supposed to be done. It still amazes me to this day that after so many sports seasons fanball still can't catch up. The software is clunky at best and the programming totally lacks common sense.

Anyway, I want to thank Greg & Tom for all they have done these past few days to try to get this corrected and for putting up with dozens of tools. I understand that folks have paid a lot of money but it's not like this wont get corrected. People need patience, it's only day 2.

We understand the frustration with our IT and it's justified because of what happened with FAAB on Sunday night. We didn't want any hiccups. I know that Yahoo had Live Scoring down on Sunday too, so it happens to the best. We're all working through our problems and doing all we can to get this right. Nobody likes any of these problems.

This person has been given a vacation. If he wishes to return after a week and believes he can behave like an adult we'll consider allowing him to post again.

As far as language, Greg and I were understandably busy yesterday and couldn't monitor the boards as closely as we would have liked but if ANYONE uses this type of language please bring it to our attention and we will deal with it. Thank you.

In the past few years I have received an email or read a post on the homepage of every major fantasy sports site (ESPN, CBS, SportingNews etc...) apologizing for some un-for-seen issue with their product.

These things happen. The difference to me is in the way the company handles these problems. Greg, Tom, Geoff and Fanball overall have done a terrific job of communicating with us. They have apologized when appropriate and tried to give us some explanations without making excuses.

Hang in there guys, I think 99.9% of us appreciate the NFBC and understand that anything involving these Internet Machines will come with bugs/issues.

I've deleted posts from my home league because people couldn't handle themselves with any class. I curse with the best of them in the appropriate setting (like when someone won't let me into their lane) but I don't really want to have my fantasy sites read like the Def Comedy Jam.

As for the situation yesterday, to me mistakes happen and that is okay. The problem was more in that everyone at fanball went to sleep without checking (carefully) to see that it ran correctly while every customer was on the boards concerned about it all night. It should be checked every week but especially on the first week with a new site. Hopefully, that will be the new status quo.

NFBC has been around since 2004. One of the problems is the high expectations that have been set over the last 6 years. I know Fanball has taken over but for some of us it is still the NFBC. It seems like we reverted to 2004-2005 with some of these issues. I know all will be corrected in upcoming days but for others, and myself, it looks like we are going backwards. We have to remember that basically, it some regards, we have started from scratch.

My opinion of course on all of the above.

Thanks and have a nice day.

Thanks and have a nice day. It is actually quite simple. Tom/Greg/Geoff touch it and "own" the issue/problem it gets solved or more importantly never becomes an issue. Put it out of their control and it has been a total disaster. The thing that sucks is they get the brunt of it. Tell me one major thing that the original crew had full control of or a decision they made that went bad. I get it that is one big team it is just Kemp, Utley, Hanley, Kendall, Getz, Jack Wilson....

It's the classic case of shooting the messenger.

Greg/Tom filter what we write/report to the IT guys, and filter what the IT guys let them know back to us, as well as the same filtering process to and from the higher ups at Fanball.

Don't shoot the filter! (it'll leak) :D

It's part sales, smoothing, psychologist, priest, parent, high stakes event coordinator, spinmaster ...geez...give Greg a raise!

"I'M" going grey practicing my empathy and wearing his moccasins yesterday and today.

We aren't out of the woods here yet, but to blame Greg and Tom (or giving them too much credit for solving everything) is going too far.

Just keep plugging away and defeating each error one by one by one.

What it all boils down to is simple really...

...we must kill the Batman. :D

Just to be clear, I wasn't blaming Greg or Tom. Greg and Tom have set high standards that have not yet been met this year. Only in regards to the most recent situation. All else prior has not been any issue for me. This even hasn't been an issue for me as some of my teams are draft champions and the others weren't affected.

Basically I don't have any problems, just stating a couple of thoughts.

I agree that nugdafied's comments were childish and unpleasant. I would favor a ban on all hate speech, insults or fighting words - whatever you want to label them but not on "profanity." It seems silly to me to allow substitutes like "F word," S---T, "#$!%'ing" or "WTF" and not the actual word or phrase when we all know what those symbols mean. Again in the context of hate, fighting words, insults etc. sure, go ahead and ban folks but minus the hate they are just words and so I'm not squeamish about when used to make a point or show emotion other than hate.

For the record, I don't use profanity in my posts and never have but someday when I win my League I would like to be able to crow about it with as much enthusiasm as Joe Biden. Just my opinion.

I'm very clear about this.

LOVE: Greg, Tom, Geoff

HATE: Fanball programmers and their project timelines

When the hate group fails, the love group faces the music, unfortunately.

I gave all my money to the event with Greg running things. Even after Sunday's SNAFU, I still would have done it. Keep up the good work and you'll get all my football money too!

Thanks again Greg and crew.

I'm committed to the NFBC as long as Greg and Tom are around. One day when Greg gets old and retires, I might retire from the NFBC too! Unless Greg's son takes over. Does Greg have a son?

Great recovery from Sunday night's problems. It happens even to the best in the business.
