Enhanced Free Agent Page and More Is Now Live

Post by Greg Ambrosius » Tue Apr 20, 2010 12:10 pm

I think you're going to like our next new rollout from the IT team. If you go to Free Agents now you'll notice that there are several new features for everyone. Among the best is almost a split second load time between positions once the Free Agent file has loaded. Check it out, it's pretty slick.

Also, here are other added features to the Free Agent pages tonight:

* Ability to view all teams remaining FAAB budget

· Added stat categories to help with player selection (adding MI and CI)

· INCREASED SPEED – this includes:

o Faster initial loading from the previous version

o A new tabbed position list that DOES NOT REQUIRE A PAGE RELOAD to switch between positions!

· Player added date stamp

· Player list sorted by Owned % as a default

· Enhanced messaging to ensure users know which list they are working with, and that they MUST save the list. All other functions will be grayed out except for the active list that needs to be saved.

· Player stats for 2010, 2009, 2008, last 7 days, last 14 days, last 21 days.

Nice job John, Cory and the rest of the programmers. These are all requested features that will save folks a lot of time, especially those with multiple teams. Thanks.

Looks good Greg. Nice to see improvements in the system. It's come a long way in two weeks.

Can you let us know what is next on the list? Thanks

Jason I believe there are some nice features coming tomorrow on the Team Stats page. Or soon.

I think there are some really nice additions coming to the Watch List. But I'm not saying anything else. ;)

Looks great. Getting better and better.

Hey Greg. 3 biggies for me. Free agent ranking, the ability to see 2 start free-agent pitchers for the upcoming week, and be able to see when my starting pitchers are pitching (by Wednesday under set lineup you can only view Fri-Sun games)

Keep up the good work!!

Zero loading time.

This was essential for Sundays.

A BIG plus.

Great stuff.

I am guessing a lot of you did not try to use the new product yet. Since I can only sort catchers, there is no way to list all hitters and using IE I get the same script error message that was appearing two weeks ago. As of now it looks better but is less functional.

I'm playing around with the free agent page today and just noticed that now for each of your different leagues there is a REMAINING BUDGET link in the upper right hand corner of Free Agents. You no longer have to write down how much you have left or how much your opponents have left. It's all there in the upper right-hand corner. That should help owners with multiple teams.

Once the free agent list loads, you can sort by category or go to other positions in a split second. If you are still looking for All Players, that can be found under the Players pulldown. Just pull down to All Players and load there.

If you are looking for 7 Day, 14 Day or 21 Day breakdowns, they are listed under the Stats pulldown. Right now it defaults to 2010, but you can play with the 7, 14 and 21 day breakdowns. You can also sort by 2010, 2009, 2008, 2007 stats.

The Watch List will have another addition in the next day or two, allowing you to bid from there. We're still working on that one.

If you find anything else that I may have missed let us know here. We are still working on the Internet Explorer loading and hope to have that improved as well. I know some folks are getting an error message there and we need to fix that.

Solid enhancements. Getting the Internet Explorer fix should be near the top of the list, the message states that a script is causing it to run slowly and the computer may become unresponsive.

IE is from the 80's...I think you would really like Firefox or something else. Just my opinion, Internet Explorer has been working slower than normal for the past 4-6 months.

I downloaded Firefox a few months back and it has made a BIG deffernce. I have heard this from so many different people.
