How about a mention for Matt Garza. 3-0, 0.75 ERA, 0.88 WHIP, and 19/7 K/BB ratio in 24 IP.

No mention of Pelphrey or Lincecum.

Value: I'm enjoying Dallas Braden so far.....had Pelfrey on just about every team last season, none this year.

For the entire season, I could see Ricky Romero being one of the best value picks.

As for the best, how could you not choose Halladay? Lincecum is my fav, but Roy has been lights out.

Ubaldo first, Garza a close second. Don't forget VALUE. These guys are giving you Halladay value at a 5 round discount.

I'd have to put Lince back at the top of the list. 4 more K's in 6 less IP than Halladay. Those 4 K's would create a total of 10 additional category points in my Main league (if given to each team once). The slight Halladay advantage on ERA and WHIP (inlucing 6 additional IP's) might create 3-5 category points using 150 YTD team IP.

It is all about value ...

Some that are working for me are Liriano (early-to-mid teens) and Romero (early 20's)...

I like Nolasco a lot in the 6th to 7th round this year.Had the best spring training but came out of the gates a little slow but tonight was more like it with 8 shut out innings and 9 k's.

Carmona is another great value this year as many leagues he went undrafted.Just won his 3rd game tonight and didnt walk a batter.

Agree on Garza another great value pick usally around the 8th round.

Kevin Slowey is another who is in for a big year and coming off his best game with 9 k's and his team mate Liriano is back and another great value pick going after the 12th round.

best pitcher year to date? Halladay, hands down.

best value pitcher year to date? Carmona, I agree w/ Eddie...he wasn't drafted in many leagues or very late, and if he's your 5th SP yer gold baby, gold !
