Kerry Wood gave up five runs in a third of an inning last night. That is just two runs less than Ubaldo Jimenez and Jaime Garcia have given up all year.
A lot of Judy's would be happy having one home run, four triples and five stolen bases after a quarter of the season. I don't think the Mets had that in mind when they signed Judy Bay.
Juan Pierre has 18 stolen bases...to go along with 18 runs. Pierre also has three doubles in 154 at bats. A spot awaits at the Judy Hall of Fame.
Adam Jones has the second most at bats in baseball....and still hasn't hit double figures in rbi.
Some say that doubles are a good indication of power. Ever notice that they only say that during the off season? Kendry Morales has a grand total of three doubles this year. Kendry Morales also has more home runs since the all-star break than any other hitter in baseball.
Masterson (0-4) vs. Meche (0-4) last night. Neither won.
The off season darling Mariners have problems. Jack Zd...... tried to put a great defense on the field. Like the fantasy player that weighs too much with pitching, Zd.... forgot that offense is a big help in winning games.

The offense is so bad that Griffey is falling asleep during games. He has 30,000 others joining him in the stands. Not to worry though, Milton Bradley is back. Nap time is over.
Oh, and the 'go go' part of their lineup? Ichiro and Figgins have gotten hits in the same inning just three times in 19 home games.

There is no truth to the rumor that Hoffman is changing his theme song from 'Hell's Bell's' to 'Hit me with Your Best Shot'.
George Kottaras has as many home runs as Mike Napoli and one more than Joe Mauer.
Yadier Molina leads the Cardinals in stolen bases.
Aubrey Huff has as many rbi as Prince Fielder.
The 'Greek God of Walks' leads baseball in walks.
