Just wondering in how many leagues was Michael Stanton chosen? I was going to take him with my 30th pick this year but opted for Jesus Montero as I fully expected injuries to the aging Yanks. However, what I didn't expect was Montero to be hitting .235 in AAA.

I am also the proud owner of Chris Coghlan in both my leagues and Maybin in one. One of these guys (you could make an argument for both) is going to be sent down in the next 10 days. Coghlan looks awful and I was really high on this guys SB potential this year given his minor league numbers. Hard to run with a sub .275 OBP.

So who are the proud owners and geniuses who drafted Stanton? If you don't already have him, what do you anticipate the bid will be? I am guessing $400 + easy for those that have the bread.

$400 is crazy, but we've seen crazier things happen. I'm sure most Smoak's owners who shelled some serious money for his services wish they had their money back, although it's still too premature to draw a conclusion on their investment. But almost half of initial budget on Stanton? I'll take a pass.

Brent Grooms drafted him in our St. Louis league in round 30, but dropped him a couple weeks later. We picked him up for $3 in early April, then dropped him, then picked him up again for $86 in early May. We won our bid $86-$76.

Once he is called up, he will go for a sizeable chunk of $, especially if some teams need the power.

I forgot to mention, I am one of those that spent a sizable chunk on Smoak and yes I do wish I could drop him off at the return counter for a Stanton model. Stanton at $86 is terrific value and a nice re pick up on your part.

I drafted Stanton, dropped and then picked him back up three weeks ago for $16. I don't have enough money left to get him IF they bring him up in June.
