Good thread.

I'm a big fan of the Fister-Pujols matchup, though Pujols might be too easy to pair up.

Hardy-Johnson could be an interesting interleague Twins-Fish matchup...

Of course Johnson will get Hardy all the time

This one is pitcher-pitcher but could end up a matchup if the Seattle hurler hit against the Brewcrew...don't know if he is the Owings type

Bush League

Getz-Leake

Weeks-Daley

Sipp-Choo

Crain vs Braun

Gross-Sheets

Rzepczynski-Saltalamacchia would be a good tongue twister.

[/QUOTE]Really? I never thought of Ethier as hard to spell. Tex-eieio-era seems a lot tougher.

The announcers in the Tex-KC game pointed out that in upcoming interleague series with KC and Pitt, we may have a Duke-Butler rematch.

If Dickey can work both games of a double header, we can have

Dickey-Pettitte then

Dickey-Harden

Thanks a lot Doughboys!

Now the first thing I do when I open the paper is look at the matchups to see if there are other good ones.

Yesterday your Ely - Lilly came to fruition.

This morning we almost had a Lowe-Price.

What's worse, I start recking my brain for good other names. Like today, when I see Slowey, I wonder if there is a Fasty?

So thanks for making me waste another 15 minutes every day.

You're Welcome....I think :D

The Price reference brings up a Price/Wright matchup

A few others...

Buehrle/Schumaker

Hughes/Lincoln

Hughes/Pinto

Young/Buck

Leake/Dickey

Buehrle/Braun

Carp/Fisher
