Because the Cubbies can't play home games under the lights...

I have to give Nelly Cruz a go and hope his hammy allows him to DH.

Hey AZ

I benched him in the 2 leagues I have him in. Just hoping he is day to day. All have injuries but I am amazed my NY1 team is still competitive 1st 4 picks

Nelson Cruz isn't in Friday's lineup, but he thinks he'll be able to pinch-hit if needed. Cruz tested his injured hamstring this afternoon and came away encouraged that a DL stint won't be necessary.

Thanks Marty. That is some tough luck with those picks

Looks like Nelly will avoid the DL for now. They gotta get some new trainers in Texas pronto.

I had no choice but to play him. Now with Arod out (still don't get why he can'd DH) I'm just tempering my expectations for today. There's always a tomorrow
At least Cruz has produced when he's played. It could be much worse and you could've drafted BJ Upton AND Aramis Ramirez who are missing games AND yet are healthy.
Funny those are 2 of my favorite landmines. My closest nfbc pals know how much I loved BJ Upton. I rostered him for the entire 2005 season and got nothing. I easily could have rostered ARam this year. I thought he was good value and probably the main reason I passed on him was I took Longoria in the first.
