Halladay PERFECT GAME!

First time two perfect games since 1880 according to ESPN.

Maybe this will get our main event team going too...

Congrats to all Halladay owners!

I remember watching David Wells throw his perfect game. I don't remember if the umpire was as generous to Wells as he was to Halladay. I don't remember having the same feeling as I watched Halladay's last night. I guarantee he threw ball four at least 5 times. Not even close. He had great stuff and certainly was capable of the no hitter but that umpires strike zone was a joke and quite frankly embarrassing to anyone watching.

Thanks for that note...I thought I was the only one that got sick watching the game last night...it was silly watching the strike zone. In the 9th he threw 5 straight balls out of the zone that were called strikes. Quite frankly in a 1-0 ballgame I felt embarrased for baseball. Kinda like I felt when Sammy(Middle Linebacker)Sosa hit a towering shot with a fungo bat during a real game.

good for halladay. best pitcher in baseball and from what i read a real class act kind of guy.
when i'm on the treadmill at the gym and baseball is on, i'll watch an inning or two. if i'm flipping channels at home and the game is on, i MAY watch an inning or two. in general, these are isolated incidents. like i said before, during the course of the season, I'll watch the equivalent of 2-3 games.

not sure why people doubt that or question it. everything i need to play fantasy baseball is contained in the box scores or found in my weekly research.

Didn't get a chance to watch any of the game yesterday. Amazing we've had two perfect games in what, a month's time?

Happy to have Halliday in slow draft 7, but if the other guys on my staff don't pick up the pace, like Sabathia, it isn't going to matter. And same goes for most of my hitters.
As a Phils fan I have watched Halladay all season. He needs no 'make up calls" as he his given a "Glavin" like strike zone all the time. The perfect game was not a matter of him being given a few "close calls" that would be expected. It was a matter of a great many obviously bad calls.
