Insomnia rears it's ugly head, been up since three...

The Red Sox have 16 stolen bases this year, they've given up more in a series.

The top four run producing teams in baseball are from the AL East

The Angels have one triple this year...and their catcher, Mike Napoli hit it

The Cubs are so bad that Alfonzo Soriano's .297 batting average may be overlooked

Lyle Overbay has more hits than Mark Teixeira, it makes perfect sense then, that Teixeira leads the All-Star vote, especially at a position with Cabrera, Youkilis, Konerko, and Morneau

Chase Headley has more stolen bases than Julio Borbon

During the last 17 games, Andrew McCutchen has two rbi.....and two home runs

Alex Rios, Evan Longoria, and David Wright are the only hr/sb double/double hitters

Ervin Santana, Ben Sheets, Rodrigo Lopez, Dan Haren, and Charlie Morton have all given up double/doubles

Dan Haren leads all pitchers in giving up 162 total bases

The pitcher who is hardest on both hr/sb is Jaime Garcia...He has only given up one of each

It is a pitching dominant year so far, and that is with Tim Lincecum ranking 34th in E.R.A.

Martin Prado is the only leadoff hitter in the top 15 in runs scored....Even though Derek Jeter plays for the highest scoring team in baseball and leads the Majors in at bats, and is having a good year...He ranks 21st in runs scored

Cleveland, Houston, and Seattle together have 99 home runs, Toronto has 96

The Yankees team batting average is .283....What's yours?

Evan Longoria is the only top 15 rbi hitter with double digit stolen bases

Alex Rios is the only top 15 stolen base guy, with double digit home runs

Miguel Cabrera has more home runs (17) than the middle of the Yankees (Teixeira, ARod) lineup, (16)

Last year, Mauer Power, 28 home runs. This year, Flower power Mauer, 2 home runs

For fantasy'ers who reckon doubles turn to homers, Billy Butler has five home runs...Next year, Austin Jackson could be the doubles poster child, he ranks 9th with 17 doubles, yet only one home run

Hits/rbi ratios can be a tell for some players. Mark Reynolds has a 41/41 ratio....Matt Holliday, 63/25

Let's pick on Holliday a bit. He hits behind the best hitter in baseball, Pujols, who leads the world in intentional walks with 18. His position in the batting order is similar to being the pilot in the best fighter plane, unfortunately he has hit the ejection button. He has hit .215 with runners in scoring position, despite hitting .308 overall.

Martin Prado, a leadoff hitter on a NL team has more rbi. Holliday has left more ducks on the pond than BP....sorry, insomnia rant...carrying on

Dan Uggla (.270) and Jay Bruce (.268), two perennial, or is it annual, batting average drags, have a higher average than Chase Utley (.267) and Dustin Pedroia (.262)

Asians are infamous for not being able to pronounce, the letter r. The Detroit rotation must be tough.

Scherzer, Verlander, Bonderman, Porcello, and Galarraga.

Seattle's fielding average matches Cleveland's.....Back to the drawing boards for the defensive pushers

Minnesota has committed only 14 errors in 56 games. In fact, Joe Mauer leads the team and his own home run production with three errors.

Ricky Romero leads the Majors in k's

Jose Bautista leads the majors in home runs

There could be some soul selling going on in Toronto

Yesterday, was David Wright's first homer at Citi since opening day....

Yesterday, was Albert Pujols first homer at Busch since opening day

Jamie Moyer has won 100 games while in his 40's...Josh Beckett won 106 games while in his 20's

Brad Bergeson has nine strike outs over his last eight starts...

He has perfected flubber in reverse

Hmmm....I thought it was the tendency to make the letter "L" sound like the letter "R" which was the stereotypical pronunciation issue for Asians.

I believe it was Elmer Fudd who had the issue with the letter "R" directly.

Therefore, Pittsburgh may be more of an issue when Brad Lincoln is called up to join Maholm, Eveland, Ohlendorf, & lefty Zach Duke. ;)

Outside of that, great stuff once again Dan.
