Main Event Thoughts - Can we talk about my Auction Team?

Week Nine Results - I did a little better, but only marginally. I was able to get the requisite AB (316) and was able to get close to my targets one would expect but getting close ain't enough. I sit in with the middle of the pack and I need to exceed expectations in order to get back in the game. I made a huge mistake in sticking with Andruw Jones. He had six AB through Friday with one (good) hit.
As far as pitching goes, I had more "corrections". Garza, Danks, and Shields were very hittable. I still got good results out of Weaver, Cecil and Lowe. Again, I ended up with an "acceptable" week (four wins, 47 K's), but not the move I wanted to make.
Week 10 Free Agents - I finally gave up on Villaneuva, so I went looking for some starting pitching. I ALMOST (yes, Chesty, I was outbid again) got Bumgarner (lost $33 to $31) and Niese (lost $23 to $21). But thank goodness I got Westbrook.
Still, Westbrook can be of use in certain situations.
I also bid on Peralta, but would never have considered the $167 bid that won. In my opinion, he might be of some limited help (certainly not to my BA), but I had a supplemental bid on Infante. The Braves, as long as Cripple Jones is hurting, have been batting him second between Prado and Heyward. Jones got a cortizone shot in the offending knuckle (OUCH), so I am not sure when he will be back. I do not view Infante as a long term asset, and he is really no asset at all when he hits down in the line up, but he could score me some runs in the short term. I dropped Blake DeWitt.
I was surprised that there was not much interest in David Murphy. He, a left handed bat in Arlington, especially while Cruz is on the DL, has got to have some value while he is hitting fifth or sixth. I bid $33 and there was no runner up bid. I guess I overbid, but I think this guy can help. I dropped Jones.
Week Ten Plans - I put Murphy in for Guillen. Guillen may make it back into my line up next week because he has more value as a second baseman than an OFer, but of course only if he hits. The rest of my OF stays the same (Either, Kemp, Victorino, Willingham, and DeJesus). I put Infante in, at least until Friday, to try and catch some Arizona magic. The rest of my MI becomes Guzman and Furcal. On the corners I have Votto, Ramirez, and Tejada. Soto and Hundley round out the catchers. I see too many empty sticks (Guzman, DeJesus, and Tejada).
Would the Royals please trade Soria? Would the ChiSox please trade Putz (who has been awesome each of the four weeks I have had him)? I am way behind in saves, but no help is on the horizon without a change in venue. Garza, Shields, Weaver and Danks are still solid to excellent at the top. Cecil may, just may have cultivated his talent at the MLB level. Lowe's last four starts are much closer to what I expected. I hope that my last starter will actually get start. Bailey will have at least one rehab start. He may have a weekend start against KC.
Seriously, can we talk about my Auction team?
