The Colorado Rockies' struggling offense has suffered a major blow.

Shortstop Troy Tulowitzki suffered a broken left wrist when he was hit by a pitch from Minnesota Twins reliever Alex Burnett on Thursday afternoon, FOXSports.com has learned.

Tulowitzki underwent X-rays in Minnesota, which were negative, but he was re-examined by Rockies team doctors on Friday morning and the broken bone was revealed.

He is expected to be out six to eight weeks.

Oh good....Ellsbury needed some company on my auction team's DL.
People ask me what I do in winter when there's no baseball. I'll tell you what I do. I stare out the window and wait for spring.

I have Tulo in a home league. It is 13 team mixed. We have NO bench spots. I am in the middle of the pack. Reviewing the available free agents, it appears Barmes is the best one out there. Would you cut ties with Tulo and pick up Barmes. Also, there is a chance I could reclaim Tulo in a few weeks if no one else picks him up.

Hey if your middle of the pack you cant wait 2 months for Tulo and he probably wont get his power back till next year.I think Barmes is a nice piece and does have some power for a middle infielder. good luck
