I'm tired of stupid.

You guys might think this post is stupid. If so, well, more stupid in the world! I contribute where I can.

I'm listening to a broadcast of the Rockies. The announcers are subtle 'homers', you know, the kind that pick at umpire's and opposing players, while every play the Rox make has a purpose, even if the outcome proves costly.

Jason Giambi makes two errors in an inning, probably costing the Rox the game. I miss Howard Cosell. We get to hear what a great influence Giambi is in the locker room.

The chase of the even numbers for media types. ARod has 599 home runs. The media has headlines. Who cares? He was the 7th to 599, he'll be the 7th to 600. It is a number like others. Yet, MLB puts special balls in play. Babe Ruth just cussed.

Speaking of the media....Announcers and writers will tell anybody that they have one of the best jobs in the world. Why is it then, that besides one umpire, they are the only ones mentioning how long games are played?

I know when I'm at a game, I'm not clock watching like they seem to be. Enjoy your jobs, guys. Quit whining!

2 different GM's, but the hell are they thinking trading Haren and Scherzer.

It was like Xmas when the Tigers traded Granderson and Jackson for Mad Max, Phil Coke, Austin Jackson and Daniel Schlereth. 16 years of service time the Tigers control with that trade.

He deserved better, as errors in the first and second innings resulted in two unearned runs to score. All told, Hanson held the Nats to six hits -- five singles -- while striking out eight and walking none. It's the first time Hanson has went without a walk since May 15. It's easy to get distracted by his 8-7 record and 3.99 ERA, but Hanson's K/BB ratio is actually improved from last season. He remains a pretty solid buy low opportunity."
