Jose Bautista.
The name just confounds most around both fantasy and real baseball.
There are whispers that he has found an undetectable PED.
Who knows?
Maybe he sold his soul to the devil for a 50 home run year. I would have had the pennant thrown in for that price. Maybe he's not a great wheeler dealer.
He could be the first 50 home run hitter that isn't taken in the first five rounds of the next years drafts. Missouri/Missouri (Show me twice) will certainly be in play. His believers are few. If anything, it'll be interesting to see where he is drafted.
The Jays are spouting that they knew Bautista had all the power characteristics and 'had feelings' that the power would bloom this year.
Blah, blah, blah.
They forget that this 'power source' was their lead off hitter beginning the year.
If Carlos Gonzalez goes on a power spree and finishes first in home runs in the National League, it could be the first time in history that the respective home run leaders from both leagues were lead off hitters to begin the year.
CarGo could become the first triple crown winner since the inception of the All-Star game, not to make the All-Star team.
Buster Posey and Carlos Santana will go high in drafts next year. They showed themselves well while getting their shots in the Bigs.
It begs the question-
What the Hell happened to Matt Wieters?
Even more heralded than Posey or Santana, Wieters has not lived up to his minor league acclaim.
Posey and Santana were immediate hits. They 'got it' at the big league level. It seems as if Wieters is still feeling out the process.
Posey was brought up well after the season had begun, yet leads Wieters in every counting stat and is hitting 70 points higher than Wieters.
We were told by 'experts' that Wieters was Mauer with power. More like, the lost Molina Brother.

Jose Bautista where does he go in a draft?
Well it depends on if you remember Brady Anderson.
It happens for some players for one year.
