Okay, I don't want to jinx him, but we have one week left and FAAB is over with. It's time to sit back and enjoy the last week of the season.
As most of you know by now, Stephen Jupinka is our current leader of the NFBC Main Event. He entered this season as our Lifetime Standings leader and he certainly will finish 2010 as our Lifetime Standings leader. He's having an incredible season in several events, but winning the NFBC Main Event would top them all.

Just to show you how dominant Stephen Jupinka has been in the NFBC, you need to look at his incredible run in the NFBC Main Event. He has cashed in every main event league he's entered except one thus far and this will be his fourth league title in seven seasons.
Here's his record in the main event:
2004 - 10th overall, League title
2005 - 18th overall, League title
2006 - 35th overall, 2nd in his league
2007 - 54th overall, 4th in his league
2008 - 2nd overall, League title
2009 - 33rd overall, 3rd in his league
2010 - 1st overall, League title possible
2010 - Atlantic City team is 88th overall, 3rd right now
That's an amazing record. Hall of Fame caliber if you ask me!!

Great job Steve and best of luck this last week.
By the way, Steve's Las Vegas team currently has 143.0 points, which would be a new NFBC record. And that's against some amazing competition. The Atlantic City main event is sickly close between first and seventh (99.5-91.5) and anything can happen there. Great league for sure.
Congrats Steve. Get your speech ready. Get the popcorn ready. You've earned your stripes.

Before this season, only Shawn Childs had won four NFBC Main Event league titles. Shawn's resume is equally impressive:
2004 - 3rd overall, League Title
2005 - 5th overall, League Title
2007 - 3rd overall, League Title
2009 - 3rd overall, League Title
He has a pair of $1300 AL Auction League titles to his credit as well, along with numerous satellite league titles. I'd say this looks like a Hall of Fame resume as well.

Thanks Greg... was feeling good until Lowy threw up a +95 the other night. I didn't know that was possible this late. So I went back into my pillbox. That AC league should be a wild finish. A deep group of talented players - It's anyone's game there. What a frustrating team

can't wait to kick that one to the curb in week !

Steve, life would be so much easier if you threw up a -95 once in awhile....I'd even take a -1 here or there.
Good luck this final week Steve. Should be a great finish to an amazing year for you.

Quahog is a genuine good guy. I am just glad he took this year to go to vegas instead of kicking my butt in NYC again. Congrats on the amazing season, what a great run, no matter how it ends but at 200pts ahead, that is a pretty nice place to be!!!

Congrats Steve! Having competed in many leagues with you, I believed it was only a matter of time before you won an overall title ... not that it's easy, because you're relentless.
Greg, can I buy insurance against Jupinka landing in my league again next season? Looks like I'll end up with two 2nd place league finishes in an NFBC main and a WCOFB main thanks to Master Q.

I just looked at our NFFC Classic overall standings after Week 3 and he's THIRD OVERALL there, too. Heck, maybe he can win the double $100,000 grand prize this year. Now that would be something, huh?

Amazing.
Hey, our NFFC Classic leader is from your league too, KJ. Maybe you're the lucky rabbit everyone needs in their league!!!

Nah, just kidding.

Well played Steve and here is hoping you can hold on these last few days and win it all! I do not expect you will get much sleep, but you can catch up next Monday!
This league was beyond tough...brutal. I have a good chance to have the Main Champion in this contest, Richard Gordon is in my Auction League and is in a dog fight (down by only 4 points) with Jeff Dobies for that overall championship, and Ryan Atkins AND Ken Magner are third and sixth respectively in the Online Overall.
Well, if I am going to lose (again), it is good to lose to the best. No matter how it comes out, congratulations again to my league mates Steve, Richard, Ryan, and Ken.

I enjoyed meeting you for the 1st time Wayne but if I'm thrown in your league again I will be none too happy. I can't tell you the times you skunked me on players especially the last 4-5 weeks. Just ask Childs, I've been bitching about you for a month now

All in good fun of course.
As for KJ Duke, I hope you take home 2nd man (in both). Great call on Posey (and Kemp too from what I recall). Among many others. I've had my fill of you this season.
Oh and thanks for Pagan

Well, he stretched his lead last night, so it's looking more and more like Stephen Jupinka is going to be the 2010 NFBC champion. But the race still has at least one more day left and maybe more.
