Three Owners Have Won FOUR NFBC Main Event Titles

Congrats to Stephen Jupinka and Mark Srebro, who now join Shawn Childs as the NFBC's only four-time NFBC Main Event league champions. It is amazing that anyone has won four league titles in seven seasons, but we have three pretty amazing owners who started with the NFBC in 2004 and have excelled ever since.
Shawn has won NFBC Main Event league titles in 2004, 2005, 2007 and 2009. It's an odd-numbered year next year, so watch out for Shawn!!

Shawn has also finished in the Top 5 overall four times.
Stephen Jupinka is our 2010 NFBC overall champion and he is also our NFBC Lifetime Standings leader. He won his fourth Main Event league title this year in convincing fashion, adding to his titles in 2004, 2005 and 2008. Steve will be tough to beat ANY YEAR.
And Mark Srebro won a pair of NFBC Main Event league titles in 2010, becoming the only player to win a pair of titles this year. He won in Atlantic City the first weekend and won in New York the second weekend, adding to his league titles in 2007 and 2008. Mark finished second in the overall Main Event this year and he almost became our first two-time national champion, having won the $100,000 grand prize in our debut season of the National Fantasy Football Championship.
We also have one three-team league champ: Bob Mazur. Bob won titles in 2007 and 2008 and he added another title this year. Bob joined the NFBC later than the previous three owners, but he's made up for lost time with three titles in the last four years.
Nobody has ever won three league titles in a row, but three owners have a chance to do that in 2011. John Bono, Joe Kruk and Tom Zarogiannos have won back-to-back titles in 2009 and 2010 and will have a shot to make it three-in-a-row in 2011. Good luck all.
I'll list two time NFBC champions shortly.

If I have double-checked this correctly, we have 28 owners with multiple Main Event League titles during our first seven seasons. That seems like a lot, but it also shows you how tough it is to win league titles in the NFBC. Here's the list of multiple winners and please correct me if I've missed anyone on the two lists above:
Shawn Childs: 2004, 2005, 2007, 2009
Stephen Jupinka: 2004, 2005, 2008, 2010
Mark Srebro: 2007, 2008, 2010, 2010
Bob Mazur: 2007, 2008, 2010
Joe Thelen: 2004, 2005
Clark Olson: 2004, 2005

All 4 since 2007 too!! I don't know if anyone remembers, but 2007 is when I was close to turning in my cleats because I didn't have the success I wanted in the NFBC. A couple above average finishes and ZERO money finishes.
However, the fighter in me determined the missing ingredient was "time". I made a pledge to invest a lot more time, and this is the result. I may or may not be the smartest guy playing in the NFBC, but I try really hard not to be "outworked". Thanks for the mention Greg.

I guess I know who I'm voting for as the first three members of the NFBC Hall of Fame. Mr's Jupinka, Childs, & Srebro get this man's vote. Four league championships, impressive. Oh wait, I'm not on the voting committee. Never mind.
One more thing. After reading this list, it appears Bob Mazur is easily the most under-publicized member of the Fantasy Baseball community. Three championships in 4 years, wow.

Thanks for the shout, truthfully though I get plenty of love on these boards and don't feel neglected in the least. The under publicized one is my partner Mark Miller, who's content to cash his checks and let me get the glory
Congrats on a fine season Glenn, and may there be many more in your future, (except the SCL or any other leagues I may get saddled with you. Apparently, you're a quick study

I believe Matt Mickle won 2 league titles as well. Don't know where he's been, but he was a tough player. Please stay away! [/QUOTE]Nice catch. Yes, Matt won back-to-back titles in 2006 and 2007. I just missed him. My bad. Matt is a very good player and in 2009 he was in a ton of leagues. I know he's very busy in his practice, so maybe he just couldn't find the time this year to play. But we'd love to have him back in 2011.
It was also brought to my attention that New York League 3 in 2005 had a three-way tie for first place and we weren't honoring the other two league champs. I just looked it up and that is definitely the case. Steve Jupinka tied for the league title with Joseph Anello and the tag team of John Paolucci/Peter Plati III. All three teams finished with 114.5 points that year and split the $7,500 in total winnings for that league. Pretty amazing. That would give Joseph and Peter two league titles as they each won later on, so that increases our list of multiple owners to 28. I've updated the original list to reflect this.
Nice job all and thanks for the corrections. We'll keep this list going forward and put it on the NFBC Players link in the navigational bar atop for all to see once it's finalized.

Gekko shot me down in my quest for a third consecutive NFBC league title in 2010.Had to compete against him in New York Weekend 2 League 4 and got blown away as he finished 2nd in the overall NFBC.A lackluster 6th place finish was the best I could do this year. But at least I had a 2nd place in a $250 satellite league.Oh well, all the more reason to work harder in 2011!!
