It's interesting to note that "Others" is leading the vote for a fourth city that the NFBC should consider in 2005, according to this week's poll. What are those other cities and explain why you want the event there. Our goal is to attract at least 90 teams per city and I'd be interested to see which cities could support that beyond New York, Las Vegas and Chicago. Thanks.

How about Atlanta? It is a good central location in the Southeast. I know it would be perfect for football, if not for baseball. Maybe we can have a draft in the city where the $100,000 winner comes from. Spring will be in the air at this time next year in Chattanooga, TN

Being from Miami, I must preface this post by saying that I am admittedly biased on this topic. That being said, I feel that the South/Central Florida area is perfect for this kind of thing. It's perfect for the same reason Vegas is perfect. There is LOADS to do on a weekend in March. I'm not saying Atlanta isn't a great city, but I think to attract the demographic that the NFBC is after, South/Central Florida is the way to go.
Think about it. Florida in March for a baseball fan...What is there to do? Well, there is Spring Training. Guys could go to the draft, and the next few days, go around town checking out all the players they drafted playing in Grapefruit league games.
Had too much of baseball? Well, one could have the family come along and head out to the Magic Kingdom, Epcot, or Universal Studios and spend a weekend there.
Not up for the Disney crowds? Head south to the Florida Keys and do some fishing, snorkling, or lounging.
Don't have a family? Well, all us Floridians know that March is Spring Break time. Spring Break means all the college hotties around this great land of ours head to our beaches, drink our alcohol, and procede to shed their clothes. Believe me, baseball will be the last thing on your minds.
I mean, really...is there even a debate here? Again, I know I am biased, and all other towns on the list would be great choices...but Cmon. Florida in March in unbeatable.

I think most of the "Other" cities would be localities close to the voters home. I have to agree with Rey in that central Florida offers more to do for those of us who take a weeks vacation to do this event. Florida offers all the things Rey mentioned as well as Championship and cheap golf, airfare for less than $250 from most anywhere in the country, plus it offers a very large population center from Atlanta to Miami a chance to drive to the event and save on airfare and car rental. Fancy hotels and cheap hotels, beaches and night life, and of course sunshine and warm weather. Vegas will still be the big attraction but some of us who do both football and baseball might like to try something different once a year.

The obvious coice for a fourth NFBC City is Osaka Japan. You wouldn't have any competition here, it's got much better sushi than Orlando or Atlanta, and you'd have 1/15th of a league filled going in.

I voted "Others" and was thinking Atlanta when I voted. East city to get in and out of. Might be interesting to try and have a city where they will be playing NCAA basketball that weekend - could tie the trip together.
