Okay, I'm doing all I can to fill the auction leagues in New York and I'm surprised that we're having so much trouble, but it's not from a lack of trying. Here's the latest update on the AL Auction Leagues in New York:



We currently have 7 owners signed up for the $650 league and 4 owners signed up for the $1,250 league. Scott Simonetti has also said that he will move from the Mixed Auction League rather than possibly miss out on that full league in New York. So we'll call the 4 $1,250 league owners tomorrow and if all of them agree to move to the $650 league we'll fill that one up and be done with it.



Now if there are other owners out there who still wanted to get in, let me know by Sunday and we'll see if the numbers justify trying to fill one of each. I know there are some AL Auction League owners from last year who said they were still on the fence this year and it's possible they still want to get in. But I can't wait much longer and I'm ready to move on this AL League and do whatever I can to fill up the NL Auction League and the Mixed Auction League. If we can't do that, then I'll need to call up all the owners in those and the owners in Chicago and see if everyone will agree to a phone auction between participants. It's not ideal, but trust me it can be done and done well as we did a few of those last football season.

Sorry Greg, I posted this elsewhere, but then I saw this thread.

I am interested in the NL Only NY Auction on Friday night. Does it look like it will fill up?

Dave, Tom will call each owner today to give an update on this. We are trying to finalize the AL and Mixed Auction Leagues today in New York and Chicago and we'll know more about the NL Auction Leagues by the end of the week. We're still hoping to salvage all of them, but it will take a strong late push to do so.



I'm more willing to finalize things this weekend rather than scramble after Sunday's deadline to patch everything together. I just have too many other things going with the Fantasy Sports Trade Conference and the NFBC to scramble next Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Those who snooze, lose this year.

Quick update on this one: We have 11 of the 12 owners currently signed up for the New York Auction Leagues in agreeance to compete in a $650 league on Friday, March 18th starting at 4 p.m. at the New York Hilton. We just need to contact one more owner to make this official.



We have also contacted all of the owners in the New York and Chicago Mixed Auction Leagues and 12 have agreed to participate in a teleconference if we need to go that way. We're at six in New York and six in Chicago. If that's something that interests you, contact me or Tom and we'll add you to the list. We definitely want to do that if we can.



A New York-Chicago NL Auction League teleconference is also possible as we currently have 10 owners there. But we have more work to do there to complete that league.



So we're trying to finalize these and make them right for everyone. Let's get some more signups to close these out by Sunday as well.

Good catch. When you've worked as many hours as I have, all three cities and hotels look alike. I sure hope the family wants to go on vacation when this is all done!

Okay, this league is full and we have now picked the nomination order and reserve round order.
