I was curious to see how the top 4 finishers in the NFBC overall ranked in each of the 10 categories so I did a short analysis and am listing it here.Pretty interesting stuff to see where the strengths and weaknesses of each team were.

Quahogs/Guess Who/Chameleon/Glenneration

R 20 3 43 11

RBI 65 3 120 5

BA 23 19 72 18

HR 116 1 104 4

SB 24 86 57 114

ERA 22 122 59 34

W 29 19 43 134

WHIP 8 132 71 170

K 56 93 28 77

SV 57 131 16 66

Tot. 420 609 613 633

Avg. 42.0 60.9 61.3 63.3

Looking at the numbers in each ranking category clearly shows the balance that Quahogs had this year.Even his weakest category(HR) still ranked in the top 26.6% and his avg. rank of 42.0/category puts him on avg. in the top 10% of every category. Now that's title winning balance!!

Guees Who? truly dominated offensively finising 3rd in Runs,3rd in RBI,19th in BA and 1st in HR but his pitching ratios and lack of saves dragged down his eye-popping offense totals.Chameleon went for the balanced approach while Glenneration X also had great offensive totals but also suffered with weaker pitching stats. All four top finishers had great seasons and are to be lauded for their performance regardless of where they finished. Feel free to jump in here with any comments or addtional conclusions you might like to add.

BTW...I had to compete against Guess Who? in NY Weekend 2 League 4 and needless to say his performance didn't give the rest of us much of a chance at a title!!
