OK, we're nearing the registration finish line. We're almost at our 300-team limit; Greg and I have been on the phones all morning working on getting those last few sign-ups and finalizing our auction leagues, but we still want to give you guys time to fire away with another daily chat. So bring whatever questions or comments you have and we'll be here to chat with you guys.

Lets talk prizes. What is the plan for prizes this year for career totals? I know some talk was going on about doing something for career NFBC totals this offseason.

That's one for Greg to address. He'll be handling anything of that nature.

Tom - You hit me with a left hook on Monday night and Greg nailed me with an upper-cut last night. Nice 1-2 punch from your team. It got me to join the NYC AL Auction in addition to the regular draft and the Ultimate. My family will miss me for those 3 days ;)

Pete
OK - So I'm not as good as I thought I was; but at least I am consistent.

That may be the first time somebody's ever thanked us for smacking them around, but hey whatever floats your boat.

Seriously, we're glad to have you taking part in those events. It's going to be a great time and we're definitely all looking forward to it here.

Hey guys - it's snowing again in F'ing Michigan and about 23 degrees. How's the weather in F'ing Wisconsin?

Btw, Las Vegas right now is 71 degrees and sunny.

With our weekend schedule in Vegas do you think we'll actually get to see the Sun?

We don't have to bring anything to the draft do we? You guys furnish player lists and everything right?

We will have player rankings available in the magazines, but we would strongly advise each owner bringing anything and everything they want to be prepared. What we will offer will be bonus material.

Just for anyone that still does not have a room in Chicago, the Embassy Suites now has suites going for $109 a night for the 18th and 19th.

Tom, At one time there was some discussion on these boards about possibly trading draft spots for the entire draft with someone else in your league if both people were unhappy with their positions. Has any thought been given to that?

I don't think we want to allow trading draft spots. That would be my vote. I'll defer to whatever Greg wants cuz ... well ... he's the boss :D but my preference would be to have random draft order and then the owners keeps the positions they receive.

Tom, do you plan to announce the NL today?

... looks like you answered before I asked, can you also predict where I'll finish this year?

I told my wife to get rid of the kids this weekend because I had something special planned. She did and now she thinks I meant to include her in my plans...I mean really...doesn't she know the draft is right around the corner and I have to finish my homework!
Baseball is a slow, boring, complex, cerebral game that doesn't lend itself to histrionics. You 'take in' a baseball game, something odd to say about a football or basketball game, with the clock running and the bodies flying.
