Being that it is the slow time of year, I thought it would be a good day to post something like this. Think about some of your favorite songs and post a list. Tough to narrow it to 5...I'll lead it off:

1. Pink Floyd - Time

2. The Who - Eminence Front

3. Stevie Ray Vaughn - Tightrope

4. Robert Cray - Smoking Gun

5. Rush - The Analog Kid

I turn 65 next April. After going through all the songs listed so far, there are just eight of them I even recognize. There may be a few more if I heard them but the title alone wasn't familiar. Not sure if this is a sad commentary or an admission that I still want to live in the 60s. One of my favorite songs is "Streets of London" which I doubt anyone else has ever heard of.

For Christmas last year, I had a son create a CD of 14 of my favorite songs. Centerfield, Crazy and Hotel California were on the CD. I wonder how many know that Willie Nelson wrote Crazy.
