While I think passing the hat could work to keep NFBC going, I think long term the NFBC really isn't a stand alone business model. Too few barriers to entry mean that players want higy payout %s etc... plus the costs of customized tech spend, advertising, draft day personel etc... make this a live drafting a low margin business. The internet is better, but I think the true value of something like the NFBC is in the content generation. Clearly Krause got that. I would think that Sporting News for example would be perfect owner or perhsps Yahoo or ESPN
Anyway, fingers crossed everything turns out well for Greg, Tom and the rest of the FB team!!!!
