Is anyone else sick of this stupid winter?

Wow, I'm stranded in the Blizzard of 2011 and stuck in a hotel. I think the East Coast is getting what we got yesterday and last night, so be ready. Last night we received 12+ inches of snow and 60+ mph gusts. Roads are impassable for the next day and Groundhog Day is looking worse and worse.
Spring can't come soon enough for this guy. Is anyone else feeling the winter blues?? Anyone else ready for spring? How many days until pitchers and catchers report? Man, I need a trip to Arizona for LABR and spring training soon.
Good luck to everyone as the Blizzard of 2011 hits 30+ states. This is a monster of a storm. Feel free to post your self-pity winter stories here and let us know what this latest blizzard did to your areas. Tonight should be -10 here after receiving more than a foot of snow. I HATE winter. Baseball, take me away.

Greg,
The average high in Vegas during March is 71 degrees. We're almost there.

I saw a Yeti in the backyard, and that has to be unusual for Illinois.
It was wearing a baseball glove and heading south, so I think everyone is ready.

High of zero in Colorado mountains. Was skiing yesterday. Condolences to those of you in Chicago or New England.

I spent 2 hours snowblowing the driveway today. I had several drifts 2-4 feet high. The whole family joined me - 5 of us - for awhile. I still have one more driveway entrance to get through, and that is at least 3 feet high and built up by snowplows. Ugh.

Over the last 11 months, New York City has had 3 of the worst 8 snowstorms on record. So much for "Global Warming". Finally invested in one of these bad boys last week:
http://www.ariens.com/products_snow/ele ... fault.aspx
The first of its kind: a cord-free, electric blower with the power of a gas model (but less noise and no fumes).
Works great, and made in Wisconsin!

Nice Glenn!!! Those snowblowers are made in my hometown, Brillion, Wisconsin. The president is my high-school buddy and he is now on the Packer Board of Directors. They are having a banner year with snowblowers and lawnmowers and those babies will last you a lifetime. You bought the best and you won't regret it. You might even look forward to the next snowstorm with that new toy!!

I think someone is using this as a training video.
In the last 24 hours, we've had heavy wet snow, light fluffy snow, freezing rain, sleet and in some areas, rain.
Total accumulation all totaled is over 4 ft and they say more in on the way on Saturday.

It's so bad where I'm stranded now that nothing is open for business here. My hotel just has soda vending machines and we couldn't get out of the parking lot if we wanted to. I think I'll be living on Coke for most of today.
RT just called and asked if I needed anything. I told him, "yeah, a large pepperoni, sausage and mushroom pizza and hurry!!" He said he doesn't deliver this way. What kind of a businessman is he?

Someone send some food my way or at least some Corona!! DAMN.
Stay safe everyone. This storm is like 2,500 miles wide. Amazing.

Here in Rochester, NY, we escaped with about 6 inches of heavy wet snow. only 18" less than what was predicted.
They made the announcement to close all schools yesterday. I am very grateful; my back can't take this much more, even with a snow-blower.

We got a brisk dose of rain and temps in the low 50s in DC today. Think DC took the lumps enough last year.

I just got back from the gym with shorts on....
I grew up in Georgia and have only lived in Florida for 7 years. The one thing they do not tell you is that July and August here are in a lot of ways like a winter to me. You just do not go outside much after about 10am.

Not much snow out of this front in Boulder Colorado, but yesterday we had a high of 2 degrees, -26 last night and today was a balmy 8 degrees. It wasn't a lot of fun delivering mail in if you want to know the truth. I kept shivering to myself 'Spring Training's right around the corner, pitchers and catchers report in a few weeks. Spring Training's right around the corner......................'Tomorrow we get into the upper 30's. Amen

Greg, trust me you would not want to be in AZ right now...Florida yes, AZ no! It is just after 9 a.m. and it's 19! That's like 50 below to these folks.
Fortunately I grew up back East and thanks to my time in the army I've slept on the ground in colder temps than this. I still rode my bike to work (only 10 min ride, but still

) that wind is blowing HARD!
At least there's no white stuff
