Slow draft with FAAB league ?

Greg,

Congrats on moving forward with STATs! Looking forward to another season of baseball.

Not sure if topic has been brought up yet but I think a Slow Draft with FAAB would be fun contest.

Regular Draft: 15 teams. 30 Rds. $1000 FAAB

Slow Draft: 15 teams. 50 Rds. $0 FAAB.

For SD w/ FAAB how about:

15 teams. 40 Rds. $500 FAAB

This would combine best of both type of drafts. I think the slow draft format is great prep for main event. I think the players we can pick up with the $500 FAAB might be more valuable than the players we select in rds 41-50 of reg slow slow draft.

Just an idea. Would like to know if any other players interested. Maybe if enough interest we can get a league started.

This topic has already been discussed: slow draft w/ faab; BUT, 12 teamer instead of 15 teamer. And there is an interest list. Checkout the following topic: "Anyone For 12-team Satellite Leagues or Slow Drafts This Year?"

Thanks Catch! I saw topic that you referred to but did not know that FAAB with slow draft was being discussed there. Unless FAAB mentioned in topic heading I am sure others not aware this has been discussed. Maybe we could do 12 and 15 team SD w/ FAAB.

Greg, if there is enough interest in league with 15 team, SD with FAAB put me on list.

The MLBC-I and MLBC-II leagues are 15-team, 30 round, slow drafts with $1000 FAAB.

Thanks Bill. Just read through the MLB Contract League thread. That league looks like a lot of fun. Looks like entry fee for that league depends on what type of team you draft ($150 - $2000). I was looking for a SD w/ FAAB league with set entry fee.
