Everyone happy with their pick?

Post by King of Queens » Sat Mar 12, 2005 7:31 am

Well, 300 people now have some clue as to how their team will look about 170 hours from now. I know there was a weekly poll about this, but how does everyone feel about their draft pick? Was there any pick that you really wanted, but didn't get? How about a pick that you realy didn't want, but got stuck with?

I'm not worried about the draft spot. Its the Zola's, Childs and Krieger sharks lurking in the waters.

Well, I am picking 14th...not the strongest position on the board....
Baseball is a slow, boring, complex, cerebral game that doesn't lend itself to histrionics. You 'take in' a baseball game, something odd to say about a football or basketball game, with the clock running and the bodies flying.

Artie got his good luck charm

he dominated our league last year

and maybe it was because i was in his league

Two years in a row perhaps, cause I'm in there again......

Bob Ashmen....will be fun to compete against you again....you too are one of the best in the business, and our football league was extremely competitive....

good luck to al in ny league #1...here's hoping our winner is the overall winner...again...maybe

artie will let down a bit, and someone else will taste overall victory...

see you all next week

4th pick in my league, I think I am pretty happy. We'll see how the end of the 2nd and early 3rd picks go

Number 15 in Chicago league 1 and not real excited about it. I guess I will have to learn to love back to back picks.

Personally I think draft position is overrated. I don't think you have any better chance of winning a league by picking #1 than picking #15.

Always hard to agree with the Gekko, but when he is right, he is right.

Don't see how you can claim $100K though. Don't see your name listed on any of the Chicago teams. I guess you're the partner and get $50K, like FB.

..And I must say I'm happy with the 3rd pick in NY league 2 :D

Thanks, but I can't take credit for it. It was compiled by Ken (aka Sack).

thats because teams 13,14,15 almost always go hitter/hitter in rnds 1 & 2. so by the time it gets all the way back to them all the good pitchers are long gone and so those teams end up taking pitchers that aren't worthy picking them there, but if they don't take a pitcher at rnd 3 or 4 the staff will never be able to compete with what they'll get in rnds 5/6. interesting chart though.
