NFBC First Weekend Update For All Cities

Wow, three weeks from Friday we'll kick off the NFBC drafting season in Las Vegas, Atlantic City and St. Louis. Those pictures that Glenneration X has been posting are so cute that I didn't even realize that we're 24 short days away from doing this thing!! :D Damn, let's GET IT ON!!

Let's try to update the first weekend of events and start finalizing things because we'll be pulling draft spots in 2+ weeks. It's time to get each city filled perfectly and make this opening weekend very, very solid. All three cities have plenty of openings, but don't wait too long because it's time to finalize things.

Registration will be live very soon, so anyone who wants to sign up for any of these events can do so on the nfbc.stats.com site very soon. Or you can email me at [email protected] and I'll secure a spot for you. I can hardly wait to start hosting these events, so come and join us.

Let's start with the Main Event. We already have more than 105 teams for that first weekend on Saturday, March 19th. I'd love to fill each venue perfectly and we certainly are closing in on full leagues in each location. If we close out each location perfectly now we'll finish with 120 teams on that first weekend. Check out the signup list below and secure your spot before we close this out.

I wish we could grow the Auction Championship beyond what we have for that first weekend, but it looks like we'll have two leagues and move on from there. St. Louis obviously is going to be beyond tough and even Atlantic City is working hard for one league. But I feel good that we'll get one league in AC and we already have one in LV. If anyone wants to do a second one in LV we can do it on Sunday morning. Otherwise we are what we are that first weekend. Check it out below and thanks all:

We also want to expand on the number of leagues we currently have for the Live Double Play. We still have openings in each city, but we should fill at least one league per city and maybe more in Las Vegas and even Atlantic City. Here's the current signup list below and let's keep pushing these. Man, this is the best bargain out there with someone possibly winning $70,000+ on a $525 entry. Last year Jaime Baird won both ends of the Double Play, earning $85,000+. Great job Jaime.

Here are the available options. Stay in touch and let's get it done:

I'm really excited about the Ultimate Draft League that first weekend. After not having an Ultimate Draft League last year for the first time since 2004, I'm happy to report that we are well on our way to hosting TWO Ultimate Draft Leagues on Sunday, March 20th. One will start at 1 pm ET/10 am PT and the other will start at 7 pm ET/4 pm PT. I'll host both in Las Vegas and we'll hook everyone else via teleconference/online. Tom may host some owners in AC as well and hook up with me. Every owner online will see the draft board and picks and hear every pick. It will work out fine. And in Las Vegas, we'll eat and drink like kings!! :D

Here's the current info. Enjoy:

If you're interested, contact me at [email protected] and we'll secure your spot. Registration should be live tomorrow to make everything official. Thanks all.

I don't know if we're going to do it, but I'll keep each city open as long as I can to make that happen. That would give us 120 teams for the first weekend. Great job all. Take a look below and if you plan on doing it Online or in Las Vegas then JUMP IN NOW!!! 8 spots left until we hit 120 and possibly close out the first weekend Main Event.

Wow, this first weekend of NFBC drafts is going to be better than I ever expected. A full Super League, two full Ultimate Draft Leagues, possibly full Main Events in every city!! It doesn't get much better than that.

Right now we have 117 Main Event signups for Saturday, March 19th. That means we have THREE GUARANTEED SPOTS LEFT!!! That would put us at 120 teams -- eight full leagues -- the same total we had last year with about two weeks of signup time left. I'll shoot for 135, but I'm more than happy to keep St. Louis at 15 teams and even Atlantic City at 30 teams if it allows us to keep those leagues with perfect leagues. Then we can figure out how to fill up a fourth league in Las Vegas because I know we're getting more there. Heck, it's March Madness, NFBC and me!! What could be better?!!! :D

Here's the current signup list. Cities are tentative for some of our drafters on this list, so that's why I'm not panicking yet about getting perfectly full leagues. I think it's going to play out nicely that way. Thanks all and JUMP IN NOW if you want to secure a spot that first weekend. Thanks all.

I'd like to come to St Louis, just to take a shot at this Wiegert guy!!. Greg, any chance we'll see the Godfather in Las Vegas? His CDM crew remains loyal, it was because of him that we got involved in these games all those March Madness's ago!

His CDM crew remains loyal, it was because of him that we got involved in these games all those March Madness's ago! It's possible, but we're also trying to recruit him to run Chicago for us. I hope he does that, but he knows he's welcome in Las Vegas to help me and Dennis!! :D Charlie is the best and I wish we could run a Live Diamond Challenge event out there!!! Just drinks, talking baseball and picking your lineups. What a blast that would be.

Just a heads up that we have ONE SPOT LEFT now for the Live Double Play in St. Louis on Friday, March 18th at 4 pm CT. We already have one full league for the Main Event at Pujols 5 Grill and now it looks like we will fill up the Live Double Play perfectly. I think we have a 12th owner ready to jump in, but just a heads up in case you were interested. This will be fun.

The Sirius Fantasy Drive team of Kyle Elfrink and Kay Adams will be hosting the Main Event on Saturday for us along with Kyle's brother Cory. Cory is going to lead the way on Friday during the Live Double Play. Trust me, they will all take good care of you. :D Have fun all and thanks.

Also, I thought we had the room block at the Sheraton Westport. If you have a reservation there and didn't get our discount I'll call down there again to see what happened. If we can save you some money there I want to do that.

Doesn't matter to me, I can do either one........thanks for your help.

[/QUOTE]With one spot left go ahead and register now so your spot is secured if that will work. That way you're part of the full league.

I'm happy to report that we have now filled up the Live Double Play in St. Louis on Friday, March 18th at Pujols 5 Grill. We now have complete leagues for the Live Double Play on Friday and the Main Event on Saturday. We are now full in St. Louis. THANKS ALL!!!

This should be a lot of fun and the room should be a great setting at that restaurant. We'll have food and beverages for the crew and the staff we have ready for St. Louis will take good care of you. Awesome job all and this is going to be a lot of fun.

Here's the final look at the St. Louis Live Double Play. Set your KDS preferences online by Tuesday, March 8th at 1 pm ET and we'll announce draft picks shortly after that. Thanks all.
