I apologize to all of our NFBC members for not creating a "Draft Night Selection Show" out of this year's first weekend pick announcements. But it was two-fold that we kind of crept these out the way we did:



1. Whenever we get 200+ people on these boards at one time it just slows down the process immensely. As we're learning now with STATS through the second full transfer of data, these UBB boards are no longer supported by the company that created them and they are extremely old with very little we can do. I do NOT want to lose the 7+ years of message board history we have here, but that makes it very tough to do a lot of things I'd like here, like personal avatars, 200+ folks on at once with the speed we'd like, etc. So rather than chance a blowout on the boards and a 1+ hour time-frame to post the leagues and draft picks, we snuck them out this morning with little advance warning.



2. Tom and I were in Chicago on Thursday and Friday trying to finalize each of these leagues with payments, etc., and we also tried to videotape as many first weekend leagues as possible. We have a nice setup at the STATS offices that we can do this in for the future, but the time ran out on us this week. We did videotape four leagues and we'll add video of three more on Monday or Tuesday so that you can see how the draft process and KDS works. We also want to be transparent with our draft slot selections and this shows you how that is done for each league. Matt and his group in Chicago did a great job with the videos. He can't help it he has ugly on air talent!!



So again, sorry for the sneak attack but enjoy the data and we'll send out a mass email on Monday with the final league announcements. Thanks for your patience on all of this. We're doing our best with all that has happened with the ownership transfer at a late time in the off-season.

Also, it's my job now to fill up this last Main Event league and to get draft slot announcements out in the next day or two. We're at 145 teams now and I have a few more owners ready to jump in. Everyone is checking their schedule and we're doing the best we can, but hopefully those owners who signed up late can have the patience to wait a little bit more for their draft picks. I couldn't hold up 9 other leagues for this one. I apologize, but I want to make sure we hit 150 first before we go forward with this league. I'm working now and hope to have something done here shortly. Thanks all.
