Setup For Super and Ultimate Leagues This Weekend

Post by Greg Ambrosius » Tue Mar 15, 2011 8:20 am

We have three high, high-dollar private leagues this weekend with the NFBC hosting these live in Las Vegas at the Bellagio and patching in other owners via teleconference/online. We have toll-free 800-numbers set up for each of these three leagues and will email the group tomorrow once we have assigned numbers to each league. Look for that email tomorrow and keep that 800-number handy for Saturday and/or Sunday.

Okay, here's how these Super and two Ultimate Draft Leagues will work:

** I will be in Las Vegas with the big draft boards and the live participants. There will be a speaker phone there and everyone should call in at least 15 minutes before the start of the draft. Folks on the phone will hear every pick and hear the rumblings from Las Vegas.

** We will have a big draft board available on your team link and you will be able to follow every pick on this board. It will be disabled to users and we will actually make these picks for you. The one drawback is that you'll just need to hit refresh on your computer after every pick to see that colored sticker on your draft board, but obviously you'll hear the pick and thus will know when to refresh. Heck, you'll see the stickers on your board before the folks in Las Vegas will see it on their board.

** The one possible drawback that we have for this league is that the online site won't have a default list of players online. The Admin system that we are using for this isn't set up that way, but we also feel it's not something the folks drafting live have either. So this is really the fairest way to do this. Everyone can certainly download the Draft Prep or ADP we have on the site and put it into a Word document or Excel, but the default list of players that are online for online drafts won't be there for these drafts. You will have the big board visible and your own Cheat Sheets/laptop available like the folks will have in Las Vegas, but not default lists ranked by position.

I hope this all makes sense. Everyone is in the same situation and it should be great, great fun. Ultimate Draft League 1 is set to start at 1 pm ET and the Super League and Ultimate Draft League 2 is set to start at 7 pm ET. Let's be ready and even early for that second one because it's going to be late and some folks have travel plans. Thanks if you can help that way.

Okay, look for the 800-numbers tomorrow and I look forward to seeing and talking with everyone on Saturday and Sunday. I'll be the one with the Corona in my hand...even at 10 am PT!! ;)

Just to verify on how you can find the draft board: Log in to your team in that league and click on the "Draft Board" link under ROSTER.

I still can't see links for those teams where I am a co-manager, when and how will those be available?

Hands off approach Christie, your team will have a much better chance under that scenario! ;)

I will email the 800-number call-ins and codes to everyone hopefully today or tomorrow at the latest for the two Ultimates and the Super on Sunday. It's a toll-free 800-number and please check in early so that we don't have any problems. This will work well with the online draft board and the 800 numbers. Thanks all.
