NFFC Feedback Welcome For Tom And I

I know this isn't the time or place to start posting about football, especially with those greedy bastards having a lockout right now, but when you buy me and Tom a beer this weekend please give us some feedback on the NFFC. Tom and I have some ideas that we are mulling around in our heads about 2011 and beyond and we want your feedback.
We have always hosted the NFFC drafts the weekend before the start of the NFL season and we did that for a number of reasons. One was that WCOFF was already the MONSTER on that first weekend of the NFL season and we didn't have the foresight or the fortitude to go head-to-head with them. Not only that but it didn't seem like the right call for players to have two live drafts on the same weekend. We had a very different game than the WCOFF (14 teams vs. 12 teams) and the two weekends turned out to be good for both contests. I think people know that I've always admired what Lenny and Emil started at the WCOFF and as competitors we worked well in the space together.
And while we've had some success on Labor Day weekend, we realize that this isn't 2004 anymore. The landscape has changed, heck the NFL is changing before our very eyes, and competitors are now scheduling 3, 4 and even 5 different "Main Event" draft times and dates. Especially in football, it seems like nobody has just one marquee Main Event draft time anymore.
Which is fine. To compete in that space, we need to be proactive and think outside the box. And Tom and I are doing just that. We have some ideas we'd like to consider and if you have time at the baseball drafts this weekend and next weekend please discuss with us. We want to pick your brains and hear what you think would be best for the future of our contests. Again, we have some ideas and we're ready to explore them. Those ideas could include Labor Day weekend and they could include the first weekend of the NFL season, or both. We're really thinking outside the box here.
Now that we're with STATS, we have some ideas and we have enough time to do something stronger in the local markets. We have some ideas that if we can incorporate them would bring a nice weekend-long NFL/NFFC experience together in markets like Chicago and New York. And I think we can even expand our local reach in Las Vegas with a partnership that I envision. STATS has a lot of good connections and I think it's time to expand what we do in football and when we do it.
I know I'm being vague, but things are changing and we need to be ready when the NFL finally resolves this conflict. Maybe we lose a fantasy football season this year, I don't know. But when the game returns and we know when the season will start each year, the NFFC has to be in position to be a leader in that space and to run contests efficiently so that our customers are the first to receive their prize money each season, they have different contest formats to test their skills in and they have fair prices for entry fees, Events fees and everything else involved.
We're ready to get aggressive in that space. So again, any feedback this weekend and next weekend is welcome. Thanks.
