He came out because of hamstring tightness?

ugh.
Edwin said Mike Stanton felt mild tightness BEFORE tonight's game.
i'd expect the marlins to play this very delicately. wouldn't be surprised if stanton sat out until at least next tuesday (monday is day off).

Now he misses Tuesday night's game, maybe out until the end of the week?
What next... I keep him in my lineup Friday, and then he doesn"t start until Saturday or Sunday or next week?
Another possibility... I take him out of the lineup Friday, and watch him hit three dingers over the weekend. Ugh.
He is starting to drive me crazy.

He is starting to drive me crazy. This combined with Bautista being out until Friday for "personal reasons" makes me want to punch something

He is starting to drive me crazy. he's going to cost us owners about a week of zeros. he's on my bench until i can see him hold up for more than one game without getting hurt.

I think your upside with Stanton this weekend is 2 starts and maybe 9 plate appearances. He's on my bench until next week.

fyi - in 120 career at bats from the leadoff position, he's stolen 11 bases. that's running at a pretty good clip. while he's playing, he's almost a juan pierre

He's started 26 games in the leadoff spot (130 PAs - 5 PA per game) but has appeared in a game in the leadoff spot 47x, which means 21 of those games in the leadoff he was a sub. Based on the PA/per start number (which is a little high at 5) there was probably at least 10-12 instances where he was PRunning for someone already on base. With such a small sample size, it completely throws out any meaningful analysis, unless you want to assume that Blomquist magically increases is OBP to .370 when he hits leadoff.

Finally, 1 in the HR column. Hopefully, for us Stanton owners there will be another 39+. Well, we can hope.
