If you have him, he could be on borrowed time.
He is absoutely ATROCIOUS in the field.
1 error
2 botched balls
They might bring in one of those cartoon presidents to play 2nd.....can't be worse.

If he keeps fielding like today, I don't think they can justify him playing, even if he was hitting .400.
I really don't know about his hitting abilities, just saw him in the field, and it reminded me of one of my co-ed softball games.

As a Zimmerman owner, I am troubled by what I saw today. All 3 runs should have been unearned. Ankiel is awful in center and I can't see how he is going to last. Morse in left is as well. Espinosa is going to make a lot of TWIB highlights, you know, the funny highlights. He looks lost in the field. Long season for Zimmerman owners like myself who were hoping for 10 wins.

STRONG SELL on the entire nats pitching staff. their defense BLOWS. i realized that by watching 3 innings of 2 separate games last year. utterly disgusting

I'm guessing you didn't see the diving catch he made the other day...pretty sure it was 2nd best web gem/top play or whatever they call it.
One outstanding play doesn't make him Manny Trillo, but it's the 3rd game of the year for christ! How 'bout we see him play a full season before it's decided that he's worst than Rickie Weeks?

Agreed about Ankiel and add Werth to the mix too. Twice there were hits to the gap, that they both kind of "pulled up on". Zero communication, and it is clear they haven't played together much. So yes....it should get better.
That is why you win, and I don't play, Mark. I didn't know until I was casually watching the game today while doing some paperwork.

Maybe the Nats can trade for Pat Burrell and Aubrey Huff to tighten up that outfield defense. I know there will be some creative vocabulary coming from the lips of those of us who own SF pitchers this year.
It's not just one team that's a little lacking at the defensive end.

Batting leadoff tonight. Desmond dropped to 7th. MLB managers continue to confused by things like sample size.

Thanks for getting my hopes up that Dannyboy was batting leadoff
