That was quick. The Angels have already moved from Fernando Rodney to Jordan Walden as closer.

There are only 2 reasons I can think of why they wouldn't use Takahashi as a closer: (1) he's going to replace Kazmir; or (2) Scioscia is an idiot. Both are plausible.

Scioscia is not an idiot. I could see the first reason being true, because Kazmir is DONE.
Plus, Walden is $$$.

Did anyone actually draft Fernando Rodney expecting him to keep the role for longer than a month? There's a reason people were drafting Chapman before him haha
