sure would be nice if new Braves manager Fredi Gonzalez would remember that Larry is 40 and more fragile than Fred Taylor in the old fantasy football days!

McCann just ripped a single that Carlos Gomez fielded on a hop, as soon as he did this cleanly I knew Chip was DOGMEAT at the plate, which he was, the catcher was waiting to tag him.

The guy is comin back after surgery for a torn ACL, I'll say it again he's 40, how bout we not push it on the basepaths? (trying to score from 2B on a hard hit ball like that  ) I mean he woulda been nailed at the plate 10 yrs ago, let alone now.

I say this as a Chipper owner in 2 leagues, got him in 22nd rd in both of 'em I think he is easily one of the greatest hitters of his generation and he's still playing (who knows if he makes it thru this season, but hey he's out there now) so my rant is if I want him healthy for as many games as possible shouldn't ATL?

Chip in the heart of that Brave lineup surrounded by talent like Heyward, McCann, Uggla just seemed like a worthwhile gamble after the 20th rd. After his hot spring I noticed he was goin alot earlier in drafts.....can we all ride into the sunset w/ Jonesy?

Thanks for reminding me Chipper is 40. I am 40 as well but I might as well be 80 compared to what Chipper can still do at this age!

UPDATE: same situation happened in recent game against the Phils. This time Chip didn't test the CF's (Victorino) arm :D

Good thinking Chip

Just keep raking buddy, no need to strain a hammy! :D
