Crawford leading off today, Ellsbury dropped to 8th. Undoubtedly, the Red Sox will win a few games here (seems impossible otherwise) and this lineup will stick for a while.

I have Ellsbury in a two DP leagues and this is a huge hit to his value. If it sticks the whole season, you're probably looking at 150 fewer PA and 25% fewer SBs and runs. Conversely, should be a decent bump for Crawford owners and probably Youkillis owners, who I assume moves up to 3rd or 4th.

bahhh

Anything that gets Youkilis going gets my vote.

The only thing he's achieved so far is being 6 games closer to being 3rd base eligible

The quality of his play will dictate where he hits in the line-up. If he stays there, you will have a lot more to worry about than the number of opportunities--his rate stats will be way off.

Red Sox pre 31-March: Best team in baseball, likely World Series winner.

Red Sox 8-April: 0-162 still a possibility.

I have Ellsbury in 2 Keeper leagues and a 1000 Slow and I will agree this is concerning. Not only will he lose out on the protection that Crawford, Pedroia, Youk, AGon, etc... provide, but I think he will get knocked in a lot less. NOT GOOD all the way around if this sticks. Would rather him be in the 9 spot over the 8th. :(

This was a know risk with Ellsbury. I didn't understand his high ADP when Pierre, R. Davis and Gardner were available several rounds later and projected to roughly the same value (Gardner not quite as much because of lower BA).

bahhh Something is working with them today. Five runs in two innings. Gotta love Pedroia, huh?

i believed before the draft that ellsbury would put up numbers similiar ro crawford this year. if he hits i think he goes back atop the order.
