I almost feel guilty making this post, but here it goes anyway: This week I'll be on vacation with the family and pretty much out of touch via email and cell phone. If you need any assistance at all, please contact Tom Kessenich at [email protected] or at 715-254-5559. He will be carrying the load this week.

It's the first time I've ever taken my family on vacation during an NFBC season, but these days the seasons all roll together so there's never a "right" time to do this. In February once I saw how this whole NFBC thing was going to play out I told them if everything happens the way I think it's going to I'd reward them with a trip to the Magic Kingdom. I had to borrow some money from my kids, so this is their payback!! :D I'll be out of touch from later today to next Sunday, checking email when I can. Hopefully you'll all understand.

I'm sure all of you dads have gone through this already too, but when you wake up and realize that your oldest child will be graduating in two years and you haven't done enough "family time" together you hit the pedal on the family plans and try to make up for lost time. I knew if I didn't plan this get-away now I'd regret it later. So here we go and I know that everything will be fine until I get back. Tom will be around to help anyone who needs assistance this week.

I have no doubt that we're all in good hands with the STATS software. What a joyous season it's been so far for Tom and myself. I mean, to wake up each morning and not have any emails asking for help makes the season enjoyable for us, too. We wake up and the first thing we both do is look at the overall standings just like you. It's fun for us as well.

Now I'm going to have a little fun with my little ones. I'm going to act like a kid for the next eight days and be ready for the stretch run of baseball and the ramping up of football. I'll be re-energized and ready to rock 'n roll. Thanks all for making this possible.

Best of luck this next week. Tom will post the Second Chance Leagues soon and get this rolling if anyone wants to draft again on April 31 and May 1st. Enjoy and good luck. See ya next Sunday.

Greg, enjoy the Magic Kingdom. Make sure when you approach those long Disney lines and you are offered an option to pick a line, forget Scott Norwood, you want to always go wide LEFT. It will be your best option.

Hit the MARKETPLACE in Downtown Disney. Take the family to Ghiradelli's and order up a Midsummer Night's Dream. Just make sure you bring your wallet! But, it is well WERTH it.

Be safe, enjoy.

Have a Grea time! Family time is always extremely important and Disney is the greatest for the kidneys! During football season, I sit at the bar by the pool outside the Contemporary Resort Hotel, while they all shop..lol

:D

I think back to last year and the furor this would have caused.

During the last six months, you have almost literally jumped ship from the Titanic to a cruise ship. Your head still has to be spinning.

As you change your hat from cruise director to Dad, take some time out for yourself as well.

Sit on the beach, with a Corona, think about the last six months, and give yourself a little mental slap on the back and smile.

Enjoy.

have a blast ! Thanks all!!! Believe it or not, it's been snowing here in Wisconsin the last two days and we're now ready to board a plane for sunny Florida where the forecast calls for 88-90 every day for the next 7 days. It's been so long since we've seen sunshine we might not know how to act. I warned every member of the family yesterday as we travelled through a snowstorm "nobody is allowed to complain about the heat next week!!! BRING ON THE HEAT!!" :D

And Doughboys, you are right. What a difference a few months makes. I never saw this transition coming, but I'm fortunate and glad things turned out the way they did. We have a GREAT TEAM right now and I have no fear now about taking a few days off and knowing that the ship will still be upright and headed in the right direction. I love our current situation.

Does Mickey sell Corona's? :D I hope so, because me and the Mrs. are going to enjoy a few!! :D She deserves some cold ones with the old man, too. Behave all and thanks for all the well wishes.

Oh, and Q, if that's a SNAKE calling nobody is answering this year!! :D No serpents allowed in the NFFC this year. ;)

I tired to call Tom using the number above, yet I get Greg's voice mail. Could have been a typo, but I prefer to think Tom forwarded his number to Greg's phone. Freaking brilliant.

Greg put his # in his post by mistake. I changed it to mine because I think it was a mistake and not a sign Greg really wanted people to call him on his vacation.
