GAME OF INCHES

Post by rockitsauce » Tue Apr 19, 2011 2:18 pm

Pavano struck out Weiters w/ bases loaded, at least that's what I saw and the little box they use confirmed it. Unfortunately umpire called it a ball and now it's 3-2 and you guessed it, Weiters fouled off next pitch and the following one he hit for a bases clearing double off the wall.

I know this kind of thing happens all the time in baseball, but now that I've got the MLB TV package I get to witness more of this wonderful torture for myself. Would you like some more misery? YES PLEASE :D

*main reason got the mlb tv deal was to watch Phillies. Tonight was not a good night to watch the Phils :(

(not when Doc gives up 6 ER & Wolf looks like the Cy winner)

I too suffered through a few years of the MLB package. What I learned was, no matter how much time I devoted to watching as much baseball as humanly possible, 3 for 10 is a .300 avg, but year in and year out I saw all the 0-fer 7's!!!

GAME OF INCHES

speaking of Phillies, I was watching my 1st Phillie game of season the other night & I noticed the guy running the radar gun behind home plate was calling by phone/walkie talkie upstairs every pitch speed. i thought everything was digital and instant now so for anyone who's been to or watches games was this a rare ocurence & old school way or is this just the way its done at all parks.
