Been riveted to the television for the last two hours. Obama's announcement was perfect and an instant piece of history that I will never forget.

A bumper sticker for all military vehicles tomorrow-

'Bin There, Done That!'

Hey, it was short notice!

Admit it, you laughed!

Seriously. it's so surreal.

It took me back to reading comics (yesterday) and thinking about SuperMan and BatMan. The villains, like Lex Luthor, the Riddler, and the Joker were never killed. Their job was to come back time and time again to torment our heroes.

Bin Laden did the same thing.

But, he won't be back.

A great day for America.

Obama's reaction to a Seth Meyers joke about Bin Laden JUST BEFORE the big announcement. Man, what he must have been thinking at that moment:

Yes, a great day for America. Long time coming! I have to admit, I've been mesmerized by this story all day long. I can just imagine the emotions from those who live in NYC or were personally affected by 9/11. My wife was 8+ months pregnant in September 2001 and she became so emotionally affected by 9/11 that my son was born on Sept. 15th, a couple of weeks before his due date. He was born during an incredibly turbulent time in our country's history.

I found so much enthralling today. Consider that:

** The Navy SEALS had been preparing for this assignment at a reconstruction of this compound in the United States for several months. And this all remained a secret and nobody had a clue that we've had him pegged for months, even more than a year.

** I can't imagine the bravery and expertise of these Navy SEALS, who were lowered into this compound knowing what protection Bin Laden had around him. Amazing courage and they did it to perfection.

** I don't know who makes the mufflers for those helicopters but they are either the best ever made or those guards slept pretty sound last night. They never heard what was upon them.

** C'mon, Pakistan, you've been had now. He built this multi-million dollar compound a few hundred yards next to what is Pakistan's version of West Point and you have know idea who lives there? He built it there so you could protect him, which you did for quite awhile. No more excuses and hopefully no more billions coming your way from the U.S.

** Did you see the video of the Situation Room with Obama and his staff watching this as it unfolded through night cameras? They looked completely scared of the mission, but give the President credit for making this call and relying on his intelligence department to get it right. Wow, amazing courage to send the SEALS in to take care of it themselves, rather than just bombing the compound. Great call, Prez.

** It's incredible that no Muslim nations are congratulating the US for this successful mission. The whole world should be pleased that this beast is ridden from our societies. The younger generations in the Arab spring don't want jihad, they just want freedom. Unfortunately, their leaders can't see that. Amazing.

I could go on and on, but I have more "Must See TV" to watch right now. U-S-A, U-S-A, U-S-A!!!

This was a great day in our history, that piece of trash scumbag is now out of our lives, but it doesn't change what he did and what negative effect it left on millions of people, not just in the U.S. but all over the world. Even more telling of what a piece of scum he is, he puts one of his wives in front of him to protect him, that is really sick.

God Bless our military and God Bless the U.S.A.!

10 years. Trillions of dollars. Thousands of soldiers dead.

State of the art technology. The US finally found Bin Laden.

In his house.

Just a couple of thoughts....

Andrew Bailey pitches Wednesday against live hitters.....That lets out Bin Laden.

Does a Muslim man still get 72 virgins if he dies using a wife as a shield?

Now, all the dead from the twin towers will rest easily.....

Or maybe the fight between good and evil extends to death, in which case they all take turns kicking his ass....

It is the true measure of a 'man', when he sends other men on suicide missions, and dies using a wife as a shield.....

Mark Twain once said, "I've never wished a man dead, but I've read some obituaries with great pleasure"....

It's too bad that fish have never been to a Wrigley Field game.

They would throw his body back....

Finally, somebody was shot, and AL-Quaida didn't claim responsibility....

1. Great day for the U.S. I'm not a Barack Obama supporter but he gets credit for good work this time.

2. It's time to end all $$$ aid to Pakistan and break off diplomatic relations.

3. Bin Laden may be fish food now, but this fight goes on. These criminals get their inspiration right from the Koran. As long as the Koran is their holy book, there will be a problem with Islamic terrorists.

First the oil spill and millions of gallons of oil.

Then the Japan nuclear reactor.

Now Bin Laden's body. That's the final straw of scum in the ocean.

Warning! Debbie Downer alert!

He is gone. The sooner forgotten the less his long term impact will be.

One less. Many more.

It is time for the US to stop shaking hands and slapping backs. There is much more work to do.

We're the general public, while it is true that the military cannot rest on their laurels, the general public are like fans at a baseball game. When we see a good play, we'll cheer.

This is already the play of the year.

Will there be repercussions? Probably.

But, the one thing that stands out to me on 9/11 was not the burning buildings or death tolls, or actually, anything that happened in America.

It was watching the reaction from some muslim countries. Actually, cheering in the streets over the deaths of innocent people!

I still shake my head.

It made me so uncomfortable, that any group of human beings could do this.

These people have different religous ideas, or have been brainwashed by the violence that occurs close by them each day, or perhaps, they have a 'Damn Yankee' mentality and are jealous of the freedoms afforded us in America.

The hatred of the U.S. will only heighten with the elimination of Bin Laden. But, I don't care. I quit caring about them on 9/11.

Bin Laden will go the way of most men of his ilk. There will be a relief that he is dead. He'll be mocked and joked about for a week. Then, he'll be a part of a future history book.

I asked an older fella (yes, older than me) how he and the U.S. reacted when news hit that ****** was dead. He said there was little cheering. Moreso, a sense of relief. That relief came, because America trusted that saner minds would take over Germany.

It's scarier for us, none of us can look forward to the same thing happening with Al-Quaida.
