"Manager Terry Collins said that Fernando Martinez's arthritic knees are something the 22-year-old prospect will have to deal with "his whole career."
Martinez can only play the corner outfield spots due his unusual condition. "There is nothing he can do anymore...He's going to deal with some discomfort just like Carlos [Beltran] does on a regular basis." It's concerning for such a young prospect to have knee woes already, but Martinez does not appear to be affected at the plate right now. May 14"
