Posada to retire???

Post by Outlaw » Sat May 14, 2011 1:08 pm

NY is a buzz tonight with possible Posada retirement after tonights game. Posada has scheduled a press conference after the game. Tough break for Posada owners hoping for a rebound if it's true.

Posada is not going to retire. He will be traded to the Mets for a player to be named later.

Posada to retire???

He refused to play tonight after they told him he was hitting 9th!

If that's what happened, that's stupid and sad, because people will always remember it. Posada is better than that.

Posada to retire???

Jorge Posada told manager Joe Girardi he was "insulted" about hitting ninth and "threw a hissy fit," according to Jack Curry of YES Network.

This could get ugly. Posada is one of the greatest Yankees ever, but the bottom line is that his production caused the demotion. We doubt Posada will retire, but whispers are swirling. FOX's Ken Rosenthal is speculating that the Yankees could accuse Posada of being in breach of contract and dock him two days pay. Poor Posada, heavily underpaid at 13 million, I would be "INSULTED" also to hit 9th, GEEZ...
